HP 74 (CB335WN#140) Black Ink Cartridge

Although I gave the seller a 5 star rating as soon as I got the product, on using the refurbished ink cartridge I was not happy. The print was dull and smudged and the cartridge did not print as many pages as other cartridges I have used earlier.

I bought the product because it was competitively priced. Will not buy again.

The HP cartridges are the only ones I buy, because the aftermarket ones are not able to be read by my HP printer. Since the brand one can be read by my computer, I always know the levels of ink that I have left so I don't have a surprise and run out without being warned. The quality of the printing is always good, so it is worth paying a little bit more to have the features that I get with the brand cartridges.

I have had a number of cartridges refilled at the local drug store, and I decided to just order my black ink cartridge off ebay, and I have been very pleased with the quality of print and hope to get more pages off the printer.

The remanufactured cartridge is a Next Life by Dell. I trusted the product because of the Dell name. My printer does not recognize the cartridge. I called Dell and they will not assist since I didn't buy from them directly. Beware of remanufactured cartridges regardless of the name on the box.

I have had my HP Photosmart C4240 All-In-One printer for over 2 years and, (knock wood), it has always provided me with high-quality copies and photos. I once used inferior quality ink refills with my huge Brother AIO and learned the hard way... you just don't buy after-market products to use with your expensive equipment. I had to replace the ink head twice, and that ain't cheap! Since then I only use OEM ink and parts, and my equipment thanks me by providing excellent service.
