The LaserJet 4300dtn Is an Office Workhorse!
Created: 05/04/11
The HP LaserJet 4300 base model (Q2431A) was initially released in 2002 and discontinued in 2005. My personal experience with the LaserJet 4000 series is fantastic. These printers are the true workhouse of any office that has any print volume at all. My office has four 4300dtn (Q2434A) being used everyday. Replacement parts are easy to come by, however you won’t need them frequently (if at all) between 100,000 – 200,000 pages. Rollers and fusers come in a maintenance kit Q2436A which is still sold on HP’s website direct. (You may be able to find a better deal elsewhere). Toner cartridges print up to 17,000 pages with Q1339A (39A) and more if ECO mode is used. If an office has need of MICR printing the 4300 has compatible cartridges available as well.
The P3015X which is the newest comparable model sold seems to me to only build on the great design which has already been in production by adding a faster processor and more base RAM for a current day price of $999. The end result is the same 42 pages per minute at 1200 dots per inch. If you’re in the market for a printer you cannot go wrong with the LaserJet 4300 and you might save like I did buying a reconditioned unit for a fraction of what a new in box factory item costs.

HP 4300n printer review

I love the fact that this printer has a network card.
It brings me sharp printings very fast.
I find this model is one of the best HP produced. Its toner cartridges are big and capable to print a large ammount of pages.
Why this printer, and no a newer one? Well, I find that old HP printers are better and rougher than the new ones. I saw newer models and I find them weak in comparison to the older ones, too much plastic and a thinner core structure.
The only bad point for all HP laser printers is their fusers. All of them have very delicate fusers that are very easy to break. A single staple that enters by accident attached in a paper, is enough to rip or damage the fuser film.

This is good printer and cheap.
Only problem is maintenance kit is too expensive. that price is like ebay used printer price.
Also MUST need jet direct card because it is not support USB.

One of the best printers for the price, speed and reliability.
But CPA's have got to have two printers, no matter what. I have seen things going wrong in Accountants' office right when you dont want them to go wrong.
