It would be quite difficult to find fault with this refurbished printer, as I haven't had it for very long. I'm quite used to the slower speed of color printers and this printer, being a laser (black & white only) is not only a huge convenience, due to its wireless capability, but it does the printing chores extremely fast. I'm very happy that I chose to buy a factory refurbished printer, it looks brand new, at such a fair price, including free shipping, over a much higher priced new unit.

I have a big color laser printer, that is upstairs, I wanted a laser printer for the comptuer down stairs, I got this one because of its size, it fit where I wanted to put it, I really like it, I installed it on my PC and my note book, because it is wireless. It prints out fast and is quite, my other printer is very loud and slow even with warm up, this one is on in minutes. The only problem I had was installation on the note book, I could not find the IP address at first, but printed out another status and found the address then I had no problem with the installation. I would recomend this for any one wants a black and white laser printer. My frist laser printer was an HP and it lasted forever before finally dieing, I paid 10 times what I paid for this, it is a bargan.

Love it for AirPrint, just install on Windows first if you're a Mac user

After reading many reviews on Amazon and elsewhere, I still decided to buy this printer because of the price and the AirPrint capability. I am a Mac user, but given all of the issues people have had setting up the printer via Mac OSX, I decided to boot to Windows 7, which I have on my MacBook via Bootcamp and installed everything there first. Steps I took:
1. Went to HP site and downloaded the most current HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver for Windows 7.
2. Launched the software and followed the step-by-step instructions to set up the printer as a wireless printer. No issues at all. It even updated the firmware to the latest version so you don't need to download it separately.
3. Tested it out on my iPad and iPhone and the printer showed up and printed with no issues.
4. Booted to Mac OSX (Mountain Lion), went to HP site and downloaded the most current HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver for Mac OSX.
5. Launched the software and it installed. It tried to install the most current version of the firmware, you can cancel that since you've already done that on Windows.
6. Here's weird part, rather than go to System Preferences, then Print & Scan, I just launched my browser, loaded a website, then selected File and Print, under the Printer pull-down, I saw the 1102w and it automatically installed and then printed my webpage. Thereafter, you will see it in System Preferences under Print & Scan. Saves you from having to manually add it to Print & Scan.

Great little printer. Good quality print, very fast. Small footprint. Installs itself in a couple minutes.
