Verizon - DroidX
I have owned this phone now for approx 6mo. I decided to buy it for the camera/video capability it has. Having a new granddaughter. I wanted to have a camera handy all the time w/out having to pull out My camera out of my purse. When I first got it, I said to them.."Well, I guess this will have to do a lot of reading to learn to use this phone!". The salesperson said to me, "No, actually it doesn't come w/a book. You can come in & take free classes every Saturday morning @9a.m." I thought.. "Are you serious?? 9a.m. on a Saturday to learn to USE MY PHONE???!!" Well, I just took it home & began "playing" with it. I have yet to take a class. And, I will have to say..this phone is VERY user friendly. Even though I have discovered it is like a "little computer" in your hand, I have yet to do anything to it to "mess it up". I've taken some GREAT pictures with it, videos, etc. It has setting on it like a camera. It's pictures come out good enough to print and share. I took a picture in the dark of the full moon & the skyline in my backyard (which is VERY dark) and, you could see the line of the trees with the glow of the moon behind it. If you are into "Facebook", it will take you right in there & it works just as if you were at home on your pc. It looks a little different since you aren't on a full pc screen. But, you can take a pic, click share, it will pull up another screen and give you approx 15 ways to share it. Whether it be facebook, email, txt msg, & many more. Within 5sec, your picture is live on facebook. I like this since it also has a satellite on it that you can click on in the facebook & it will pull up EVERY wi-fi near you. Most places have them. And, you can share where you took the picture at & just as in facebook it gives you room for a comment. Another GREAT feature on this phone is the FREE GPS that comes w/the unlimited internet/web access. It is SO accurate. It is comparable to one that you would pay $100's of dollars for to mount on your dash. If you make a wrong turn, it will zone in on your car & re-route you back to where you are going. Once you reach your destination & have slowed down your vehicle, a REAL picture of your location shows on your screen. So, no guessing. The picture of the house, business, etc is right there for you to see. Amazing!! No more need for "Map-quest" :) Also, while you are in any of these programs, calls can still come in, if you want to answer you can, hang up & the program picks up right where you left off before you got the call. It holds a good charge & charges quickly. The only thing that is a negative to this phone (and it's not a big-deal) is keeping the screen clean since you are always holding it to your face. But, if I'd buy some screen covers, THAT would be solved!:) The bluetook capability is great & works quite a ways away from the phone. The speed of the downloads & the internet is the same as the wireless pc that I use at home. No waiting, VERY fast! utube & you also can share anything from the internet & utube at a touch. Hit share, up pops a window, hit share & up pops your address book. My sister also has Verizon & she gets my shares within seconds of me sending. Another great feature..Free Pandora music, great sound w/equilizer. If I had it to do over, I'd buy it again. Thank you Motorola for once again creating a GREAT cell! And, VERIZON.. I wouldn't change a thing. I've been nothing but happy w/them. And, I have had other providers. I love my DroidX!!

A phone that can do most anything
Amazing phone with only a few shortcomings. First, the screen is amazing. It's a perfect size and resolution. Movies look amazing and pictures look very nice.
The responsiveness of the phone is also very good. The 1ghz processor seems to do a very good job.
The fact that it can use microsd cards is a huge plus. Apple is just plain dump for not allowing this.
There are only 2 things I can really complain about. the first of course is the battery life. Everyone wants their battery to last forever but it's just not possible with this much processing power and screen size. I can get through most of a day and still have battery life left but still, having the plug it in every day is sometimes inconvenient.
The second is no forward facing camera for face chat. I understand it would only work on a 4g network but still, to be able to face chat on wifi would be cool.
Overall, I am very happy with the phone and would definitely buy ti again if given the opportunity.

Droid Eris FTW
I got this phone brand new, with no contract, and was able to activate it within twenty minutes on Page Plus, which I would HIGHLY ADVISE anyone to do. The service is provided by Verizon, but it's prepaid, so you only spend $39.99 for unlimited Talk/Text. Since the phone has Wi-Fi, I don't need data on my plan as I have Wi-Fi access at home, work, and school.
Speaking of the phone itself, it's fantastic. Here are the only drawbacks I've come across so far:
- Load time is a little slow from when you first turn the phone on to when it finally loads, but it has so many features that I can understand why.
- My favorite apps (SNESoid, Gensoid and Gameboid - Emulators for playing games from the SNES, Genesis and GBA) have poor controls for any games other than Pokemon. It's practically impossible for me to get across the first stage of Mario because you can use the touch screen and the navigation buttons simultaneously.
- Wi-Fi is difficult, if not impossible, to edit. The Wi-Fi at my school requires a username and password to connect (WPA2) but there's no way to change the Wi-Fi the Droid shows (WEP) to WPA2 (as far as I know... I'm still researching this)
My loves about the phone:
- The camera is amazing.
- Graphics are better than most apps on my iPod touch.
- Ability to connect contacts to their Facebook profile is really nice.
- Tons of Apps in the Market.
- Phone call quality is top notch. I've never heard better.
Overall, I give the phone 9.5/10.
