Movie synopsis
The Love Bug is back! Herbie (AKA #53), the sweet little '63 Volkswagen bug with a mind of his own and a serious love for speed, pairs with Lindsay Lohan in HERBIE: FULLY LOADED for a sunny comedy. Maggie Peyton (Lohan) is a third generation member of a NASCAR racing family and dreams of winning from behind the wheel, but her protective dad Ray Peyton, Sr. nixes the idea, while her brother Ray, Jr. (Breckin Meyer) carries on the family legacy (even though he's not a very good driver). After graduating from college and securing a job at ESPN, Maggie has one month at home before leaving for New York City. When Ray Sr. offers her a car as a graduation gift, they visit a junk yard to pick out a used stock car and end up coming home with a thrilled Herbie. Maggie quickly discovers Herbie is more than just a regular car, and soon they're on their way to realizing her dreams of racing glory while battling ego-inflated champ Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon) with the help of her cute mechanic friend Kevin (Justin Long).As Maggie, Lohan is spunky, determined, and adorable; young girls will love this inspirational character. Herbie himself is as winning as ever. The movie cleverly opens with highlights of Herbie's past exploits, going all the way back to his debut in 1969 in HERBIE THE LOVE BUG. Older fans of the series will delight in seeing Herbie back in action, while the newly initiated will easily see what makes this car so special. NASCAR devotees should look for cameos from drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jamie McMurray, Casey Mears, Kevin Harvick, and Rusty Wallace. Fun, exhilarating, and touching, HERBIE: FULLY LOADED is the perfect family comedy.

I remember the original Herbie movies ... this one is just as good!
Lindsey Lohan done a terrific job, despite her recent 'news-headers'.
Michael Keaton was also great.
It brings back the memories of the old Herbie movies. It's better because it's in color and it is more modern. The final race is based on the Nascar Nextel Series, rather than the 'back-street' races like in the original Herbie! Just another reason to love the movie!!
When you see Herbie, your heart melts. He is such a bright little Bug :-0)

Bought it at Walmart - Should've waited to buy cheaper here.
I never saw the old Herbie, so I can't compare. I thought it was funny, and they did a pretty good job on Herbie looking real (well as real as they could making a car come to life). Linsey - eh. For being a great street racer in the past, it looked like she was child who put a quarter in a ride (moving the wheel back and forth when the car is supposed to be going straight). Much Better in Freaky Friday. Herbie and racing is what made the movie. I think children would find it mildly amusing. It's a little kiddish, but acceptable for an adult as entertaining. If they didn't have race cars in it, I would rate it average. It's one of those movies you enjoyed, but wish you payed less for. So I'd say wait to buy it on here cheaper, or rent it. Hey you might like it, everyones different. If you don't, Recycle it back into Ebay ;-P

We watch this daily...

I have a 3 year old who LOVES this movie! (We watch the racing scenes daily). I love Herbie's come back--Lindsay did a great job (made me want to be a race car driver) and Matt Dillon is waaay too funny as the evil Trip Murphy. The movie flows nicely and has some great tunes too (so check out the soundtrack!)

Not the Herbie we grew up with

With sexual over tones and other adult humor- I really didn't find this movie as good as the older Herbie movies. Herbie is cute and does have a mind of his own, but it was too grown up- more for pre-teens than for little kids. Very disappointed as far as Disney movies go- but I have been for a while with the new stuff that they are coming out with.

One Wild Ride

) This movie is fun for all ages. I purchased it for my kids, yet my wife and I have seen it twice, And right now my mom is sitting in her lounge chair at her home "AWWing" at the little 53 car. Not really a fan of Lindsay Lohan movies yet this one has caught everyones eye. I have never seen the original herbie so I can not make a comparison, but my guess is, it is a huge improvment. The actors are great, the animations and story line are very impressive for being a very simple movie. I would reccomend this movie to all who have not seen it.
