Incredible Story Studios - Vol 1 (DVD, 2006)

My daughter is a learning, growing pre teen. These are perfect for her. She finds them entertaining, but more she can identify with them. These are stories written by youth and performed mostly by youth. It helps my daughter see I'm correct in telling her that other people feel/experience same or similar things. It's easy at that age to feel alone and insecure. These shorts are well presented by youthful peers. Viewing opened opportunities to discuss what we had seen. She was suprised to learn I too could identify with some of the situations in my youthful experiences. She listens to stories of my past as fables, but seeing these scenes played out helped her think of me being her age and facing issues of my own. We need more volumes though, because she has more issues than the Time archives! I find she is more receptive to viewing when she watches alone first, then we watch together.
