The GR-D250 features a powerful 25x optical zoom lens for getting tight close-ups of your subject. To maintain your frame of reference there's a 2.5-inch Clear LCD that reduces glare and reflections when shooting outdoors, the D250 also comes with a color viewfinder. Another advantage is new Data Battery. With a press of a button view on the Clear LCD screen five levels of remaining battery and record time. In addition, the trim high capacity 700 mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery delivers up to 1.5 hours recording. To insure the best picture quality from the 680, 000 pixel CCD imager, there's Super High Band Processor delivering 520 lines of horizontal resolution. Other conveniences include Power-Linked Operation, Night Alive, 800X Super Digital Zoom with Spline Interpolation and Digital Picture Stabilizer round out a comprehensive feature package making the D250 a great value. | |

) I bought this camcorder on a whim since I wanted a Mini DV camera that I could hook to my computer and make simple videos to post online. This camera is entry level and has few features. I bought mine on ebay and it was like new. So far it's working just fine. I could not get the camera to work with Windows Vista, but it may have been due to an issue with my firewire device driver rather than the camera itself. Now that I am using it on a computer with Windows XP, it is easy to use software to pull the videos off of tape and edit them. The low light performance of this camera is laughable at best. If you are looking to purchase this camera, it's because you don't want to spend a lot of money. I don't plan to make that many movies, so it suits me just fine to use to document some events and make tutorial videos that I post to youtube. I paid 70 dollars for mine in February, 2008 if that helps.

) Excellent camcorder had one it broke...was glad I was able to replace it with another one. Would recommmend this camcorder to first time buyers very easy to use.
