Jerry Baker's It Pays to Be Cheap by Jerry Baker (2006, Hardcover)

I like this book and it has some good tips in it. I'm a tightwad so I already know some of these tips, but it's a good read for someone who is just getting their feet wet trying to save money. Some of the tips are useful if you are super frugal but not really worth the effort to me; they are real and applicable, however. I would recomend this book to a friend or give it as a gift to someone just starting out like a college student or newly weds learning how to live on a tight budget. If a person buy this book and expects it to disolve their debt completely, it's my opinion that they will be disappointed, but it is reasonable to say that this book will help you to slow down the "money leaks" and put that money to better use. If you are familiar with Jerry Baker then I'd say you know what to expect from this read. Get it and save at least enough to pay for the book after you read it.....what do you have to lose? That's like free information on saving money isn't it?

I bought this book because I know Jerry Baker writes good books.
It has some very good information.
I tried the one using vinegar to clean my coffeemaker.
It worked really well for me.

Jerry Baker always has good ideas, whether they came from him Grandmother Putt or not they are simple, easy to obtain and more times than not work! Talk about going green.

Had many good ideas about timing the buying, what can be done to reuse stuff, etc. A bit re-hashed - or perhaps I read too many of these books and sites? It's at least a starting point for further investigation! Could be updated for these years?

Mr. Baker always gives useful hints. Some in this book are beneficial but some not worth the efforts for us. Think almost everyone would find useful suggestions in this book.
