- do not mix genuine Brother cartridges with compatible ones. Use either all Brother or all compatible. Exception may be if you just need to print basic black font documents. Otherwise ink may not mix well and quality of prints is worse (speaking from my own experience).
- Brother cartridges are considerably more expensive than the compatible one. If costs matters, considers the compatible ones.

These are a real savior. I have the Brother MFC-210C. I am getting the last of my money out of that printer. It does give you warnings of low ink. As long as I perform a self cleaning on the printer heads reguarly, it works great. Saved me soooo much money on Ebay. I am a seller and what a great savings. Now, I wouldnt use it to print like fine photos, its a bit light. For everyday officework, highly recommended.

It worked fine for a little while in my Brother DCP-110C, then after just several printouts & copies, the printer suddenly stops working with an error of "cannot change..." being displayed. It cannot recover from this error. Based on internet searches, posts & chats, it looks like the encoder strip needs to be replaced. I strongly suspect this replacement cartridge is the culprit as I've often used replacement ink cartridges bought from other stores and have had no problem at all.

They worked just great, easy to install and no leaks. The cartridge is still in and is printing like it was when I first put it in. The quality of the ink cartridge is just as good as the factory one it originally came with.
