Only dual channel is higher performance, and for most people is way overkill, its basically like having 2 routers built into one.

This router isn't "Gigabit, while gigabit is awesome, and superfast, you will only use it if you have computers plugged into it through ethernet, as "gigabit" refers to a speed of 1000 through ethernet (wired).

Worked perfectly out of the box, sped up my wireless connections nicely even with G devices. Very nice speed with N devices. Wired connections are as expected, top of the line Cisco/Linksys quality.

I upgraded from a G wirelss router by Linksys, one of it's wired ports had gone dead, and someone sold it to me that way & didn't mention that dead port...

Setup was easy, I was able to easily replicate the same security settings for my wireless devices (wife's laptop & my BluRay player) so they didn't have to be fiddled with.

It appears to have better range and the device has a gain antenna inside it's case so no antennas sticking up.

I was looking for a linksys wireless N router for video streaming to my Sony Bluray player and for providing a wired and wireless home network.

This model was one of the recommended routers on the Sony website for use with their Bluray players.

I'm connected to my bluray by ethernet cable.

I've been running this router for about 2 months now, with one desktop computer connected by ethernet cable and two laptops connected by wireless connections, with no problems so far while streaming Netflix to my Sony Bluray.

Installation is simplified using the Linksys WRT160N installation disc that is included, to help you setup your router. The Disc also contains LELA and a trial version of Network Defender.

This router not only looks very nice, it works just as good.

If your looking for a good performer at a decent price, the Linksys WRT160N router is a great choice.

They are one of my favorite sellers.

I received this router and Inserted provided CD and followed onscreen instructions. The installer said it could not connect to the router. Tried it on a different computer, same results. Tried using a different ethernet cable, same failed results.

As suggested by Linksys website, tried navigating to 192.168.1.1 and could not connect. tried a third ethernet cable with the same results. Tried the 30/30/30 hard reset as suggested by users guide, still no response from the router.

Router does not work at all, under any circumstances. Very Unhappy.
