The Long, Long Trailer (DVD, 2006)

The Long, Long Trailer is a classic comedy that delivers laugh after laugh as the two newlyweds explore life together in the comfort of tight quarters. As my wife and I travel together in our vintage trailer, we will often think of the adventures Lucy and Desi enjoyed and make sure not to collect too many rocks.

A wonderful old film. Lucy and Desi are off again with their quintessential face expressions and gags, interrelating just like on the old "I Love Lucy" series. This is one of my mom's favorite movies...nothing can beat when they take the rock laden (unknown to Desi) trailer up a long, steep grade...or when they try and rough it by parking it out on an old logging road. Get ready to laugh!

We all love Lucy, but this movie really showcases Dezi's talents. With no prior experience in a motorhome I became the owner of a motorhome the same size as their trailer. I could really relate to their experiences. Anyone considering the purchase of a motorhome, trailer, fifth wheel, etc should be required to watch this movie. It's a funny story and beautifully made with brilliant color and if you were around in the 50's you'll be saying "look at that, we had one just like that!" This is a movie that you can watch over and over.

You can't go wrong with any movie that Lucy and Desi starred in. Pure entertainment for the whole family. I couldn't stop laughing from the time the movie started till the end of it. Lucy is so funny and so innocent in wanting to make a home for her husband in the movie (Desi), in a huge trailer. Wait to till you see Desi trying to park this trailer in a driveway that has no room to fit a trailer. Plus he doesn't have a clue on how to get the trailer in the driveway, without running over trees, people etc. Lucy is trying to give him directions on how to drive it into the driveway. That whole scene is filled with pure comedy. This movie is worth the purchase and a joy to watch.

I love this movie because it has Lucy and Desi's classic humor. We bought it because it's a story my husband and I can relate to! We haul around a 30' camper and share many fun stories from doing so. Our camper is decorated with Lucy and Desi memorhabillia (spelling?) This DVD will be at home in our camper DVD library so we can watch it while we're on the road. It's hilarious!
