) As soon as I moved to the United States, I realized: There is no way to keep track of all the roads and adresses I have to go - neither it is professional or private. Thanks to this nice thing, I am able to go where I need to be without going lost. 't was a good deal, truly.

Megellan RoadMate 300 GPS

Didn't have manual for unit upon purchase, no problem found manual on internet. Unit is not updateable. Worked good on two day trip wife and I took. Only had a problem one time with it not updating to where it was. Turned unit on while driving down road, it though we were still setting at hotel. Restarted unit and started to work properly. Doesn't have all of the features that some of the new GPS units have but get the job done. Did not get us lost, even made proper corrections when we turned off course on purpose. For the money excellent little unit.

) It is a good product for getting to places that aren't new places on the map.It sometimes takes you way and i mean wayyyyyyy out of the driving path of someplaces you are trying to get to. It needs up to date U.S. maps. Other than that it will get back on track if you decide to accidently travel out of the path it is taking you.

Everyone should have one!

I was looking for a cheap, basic, model that would get me where I wanted to go. This Magellan Roadmate 300 does just that. I received it the day before I went on a 10-hour drive to Virginia and typed in the directions with no back-up plan. It took us straight to the front door of the Hotel. I trusted it totally not knowing where I was going or what city I was in. I think everyone should have one who travels!
