Not Your Basic Monster Movie!!!
Created: 29/11/06
Pros
+ Not your basic were-person type of movie.
+ Who would ever suspect such a beautiful woman? Great mystery element.
+ Shows just how much attention men pay to women.
Cons
- Ends really quick with no real sense of closure.
- Acting is a little cheesy but in a fun way.
- Not sure a deer woman could really kill someone so easily.
Comments
Deer Woman is a nice collection to the Masters of Horror series. I would like to see what she could do against Landis's American werewolf. It is also funny how the detective imagines what may have happened to the victims. Nice effects as well.
Verdict
Must see for any horror fan.

Masters of Horror - Deer Woman
I'm curious as to why Deer Woman is in the Masters of Horror series and not the Masters of Movies that are incredibly Funny series.
I guess it is a horror movie due to the fact that it has a Half Deer/Half Woman who goes around killing men, and it does have it's creepy moments, but Deer Woman is more of an action/comedy movie. If you come into Deer Woman expecting a scary movie, you might leave a little dissapointed.
Deer Woman is the best movie in the Masters of Horror series because it isn't scary. It has some of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a scary movie.
Brian Benben (Dwight Faraday) and Anthony Griffith (Officer Jacob Reed) are absolutely stupendous in this film. Cinthia Moura (Deer Woman) is very beautiful and does a good job as the Deer Woman.
Final Verdict:
5/5
Rent or Buy?: This is another must buy in the Masters of Horror series. A unique story, superb cast, and great direction make this a great film, horror or not.

Deer DNA? What does that even mean?
Created: 09/12/08
What it means is that this movie is awesome! If you like anything else that John Landis has done then give this a watch. Last Halloween my friend bought the box set of "Masters of Horror" and this one stood out amongst the rest. It's a movie that doesn't take itself too serious, it's fun to watch and even some of the acting is a little hoaky at times but it's also some of the movies charm. You'll want to show your friends who haven't seen it and it even has a couple of spots that'll make you jump. I bought it because I had a hankerin' to watch it and didn't own it. Plus I had told people about it but couldn't show it to them. It's not something you can go out and rent and it's not a movie that a lot of people have so if you come across the movie pick up and have fun.

Outstanding deal + Quality DVD

First of all... This was an unbeatable deal. Almost a steal. Very inexpensive yet high quality DVD... Not a cheap duplication. Quite a lot of extra features for such a 'short' movie. I was very pleased with this aspect. Absolutely perfect and recommended for anyone interested in Native American culture, or, "mythology". Also great for anyone who's into kitschy horror. ♥

I like ALL the Masters of Horror series I've seen--some more than others. This one [Deer Woman] is only 2nd to Incident On and Off a Mountain Road! See it! :)
