Bought this phone used on ebay.
I would highly recommend this phone.
I was a Palm Pre Plus user and loved the multi-tasking of WebOS as well as the ability to view/edit MS Word and Excel files. My understanding from reading reviews and using my wife's phone is that iPhone cannot do true multitasking, so I looked at Android phones. Wish I could've bought a new Palm but HP killed the product line.
Android 4.0.4 (ICS) is very good and feature rich, though it is certainly not an "easy" interface to learn. I consider myself an advanced smartphone user and I could see how someone new to Android could struggle to learn/navigate through all the features/screens. I love the breadth of apps but not the fact you had to add basic things (like GMAIL) to the home screen... even after setting up your account. This and a few other small nuances about apps were a little confusing.
The Razr MAXX is absolutely as good from a multitasking standpoint as the Palm Pre ... i.e., I can listen to Pandora while texting or e-mailing and use the app list view (vertical or horizontal) to go back to Pandora (or anything else) or "dismiss" any of the apps that are running by swiping them away. This is my fav feature, along with the added benefit of a fantastically long battery life.
On the battery, the phone has an amazing power management system - it tells you how long you've been on battery, how much power you have left and, this is cool, what apps or hardware (tip: your screen uses ~70% of battery)) are using the most power.
On a daily basis, I use it for radio streaming (podcasts), Pandora (or Amazon Cloud Player), e-mail, web browsing, playing locally stored music, calendar and light texting throughout the day. I don't use for a lot of phone calls. I can go 10-12 hours and still have ~25% battery left. Unprecedented with my old phones.
The cameras (front and back) are also very high quality, though I think the low light performance can use some improvement. Video is HD quality and works very well. Haven't seen on laptop yet but I'm sure it'll be great.
I just tried it for Skype with spectacular results (via Wi-Fi). My family on other end said the quality was better than my laptop web cam (though that one is 2 yrs old) and I loved the fact you can switch from back/front camera in the middle of a skype call! Great for chasing kids around house while chatting w/grandparents!
The phone also comes with Motocast, which allows you to seamlessly upload (and download) all your device's files directly to your home or work PC. It required a simple software download to the PC (via USB connection with the phone). This eliminates the need to connect to the PC to copy your photos, videos and, yes, even music and movies purchased online to the phone.
My final (but important) tip for Verizon clients. I was due for an upgrade with Verizon but wanted to keep my unlimited data plan (and not do the "share everything," which would have caused me to spend more $). In order to do that, I bought this Droid directly from someone on ebay and just took a trip to the Verizon store where they issued me a FREE SIM card for this phone. No need to extend my contract... and, most important, no need to change my plan. Now, I have a 4G device with unlimited data for $30/mo. Given how fast this phone is, my usage will probably double from the 1GB I used on the Pre.

I simply LOVE this phone!
The battery life is AMAZING. I usually charge it overnight and use it a lot during the day, internet, Facebook, weather, GPS... Last night I forgot to charge it, for my surprise it was still on 30% this morning!
Android is great, so many apps!
The camera is not amazing, but it works pretty well for random pictures when you don't have a good camera around... I mean, that's what phone cameras are for right?
This is definitely a great phone!

This device is an amazing leap forward when it comes to battery life. This one feature alone makes this a great phone. Add to that the 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front facing camera, the HD Video recording and playback. The phone also has an micro HDMI slot so you can connect directly to HDTVs. It boasts a speedy little 1.2 Ghz Dual Core processor, 16GB of internal memory and micro SD slot which can take an additional 32GB of memory. Motorola has also pulled out all the stops when it comes to accessories. My favorite accessories are the LapDock which turns your phone into a laptop computer and the media dock which plugs into your TV turning your device into a media center. The list of features goes on and you will not be disappointed.
The one and only flaw of this device seems to be the screen. The screen seems to be very fragile on some devices and has been reported to shatter by a number of users. Mind you, not all users will experience this and there is still a question why it happens. Some users have reported the screen shatter with very minor bumps or tapping the screen during a game and others claim to have witnessed the screen fracture while sitting idle on a night stand (perhaps due to heat from the battery expanding and contracting). If you are buying the device new, I would highly recommend the insurance, because as of now Motorola and Verizon do not cover this under their Warranty.

I simply LOVE this phone!
The battery life is AMAZING. I usually charge it overnight and use it a lot during the day, internet, Facebook, weather, GPS. No other phone beats this one for battery life. I loved this phone so much i paid full price 649.99 for this phone.
This phone is the perfect size and if you are planning on buying and signing a 2 year contract this is the phone you want for 2 years.
This is definitely a great phone!

Pretty great phone, very fast with ICS. Fast enough to run N64 games through emulation! :).
I use the phone with the Motorola Lapdock 100 and it's pretty nice, the lag is very minuscule with the increased resolution. (A mouse (or a similar fast input device) is really needed to make browsing enjoyable with the lapdock, but that's an issue with the lapdock...)
The battery life is second to none as well, I now only need to charge my phone every night for a full day's use. (And even if I forget I still have 8 hours left on the device if I use it infrequently.)
The display is excellent. Extremely clear and excellent colors with the amoled display. LCD quavers in comparison.
And Verizon 4G LTE is comparable to my home cable internet... :O
