NYX Round Lipstick

I saw a youtube tutorial with this lipstick and decided to buy it. Usually I find lipsticks too dry for my lips, so I use lip glosses most of the time, but NYX Round Lipstick has a really nice texture and I can feel that it moisturizes my lips. The color choice is really nice, so far I bought 3, but I'll definitely buy more. The price is surprisingly low for such great quality.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that although NYX products are generally very cheap, they are also often comparable to high end brands in terms of quality and color payoff. NYX Round lipsticks go on very smooth, have excellent color payoff and staying power, it didn't even smear off onto my coffee cup or anything. There's a wide range of colors avaiblable and because of the reasonable price, you don't have to be too reluctant to try new colors. My favorite shades are Black Cherry and Snow White, both very dramatic and dark red shades but can be lightly applied for a more subtle effect, I also find them very wearable and I'm guessing they would suit most skin tones. I have found though that the lipsticks vary some in intensity and that some are more sheer than others, Black Cherry looks like one of the darkest shades in the color charts but goes on a bit more sheer than I had expected, but I found that to be a positive surprise and it's very buildable anyway.

This was my first time ever when I get some of NYX lipsticks, because of the good excellent reviews on internet about the product. I bought 3 round lipsticks: Strawberry milk, Paris and Rosebud. When I saw the real color of "Strawberry milk" I was shocked! It looked white with slightly pink hint. Since I'm Baltic blond with light skintone and bluish-grey eyes, this should be the color for me, but I looked really DEAD with it on my lips and my teeth looked yellow as if I've never brushed them!!! Never buy this tone again!
Tone Paris is pretty sheer with satin/matte finish. It resembles me plum pink, but contains more pink and less brown than typical PLUM-PINK. I like to use this lipstick with deep violet and purple eyeshadow, since the tone "Paris" makes the finish look glamorous and sexy.
Tone "Rosebud" is my favourite. The tone is pearly with light goldish shimmer, and the colour is between bronze and pink. I'm using it daily with neutral matte eyeshadows, and it gives natural and romantic look.
Overall, yes, I like these lipsticks. They're moisturizing and pretty long lasting. It has also no taste and there is very little amount of creamy fragrance added, which is not too overwhelming! The price seems even indecently low for such quality.

NYX is by far, my favorite make up line! Last year I purchased a make up lot and received a NYX powder blush in it. I LOVED it SO much that I started purchasing other NYX products to try. In one year...I now have EVERY product they make in EVERY color. I really love the round lipstick. It's packaging is chic, and they offer a ton of pigment saturated colors! You can choose your finish from sheer, matte, shimmer or pearl/metallic. They have no offending odor nor taste and just glide on your lips. For a regular, cream lipstick, they have exceptional staying power. I have always used very high end cosmetics, spending thousands of dollars (not hundreds...lets be honest here!). Everything in the NYX line is high quality with wonderful (and sometimes) really different colors at Dollar Tree prices. LITERALLY! Don't be afraid to try colors you may find "weird" or different, either! Have FUN with this line! You'd be VERY surprised at the color choices and combinations that will look wonderful on you!

I am one of the biggest makeup junkies anyone could ever meet. So when I saw the awesome colors in the NYX Round Lipstick line I couldn't stop myself from trying them.

NYX Cosmetics is an affordable drugstore-like brand that can be purchase online at the NYX website, Ulta stores, and various beauty product suppliers.

I like their plain black packaging and their Logo is pretty cute too! I love that NYX uses the actual name for their colors instead of numbers unlike most of the other drug store like cosmetics.

As for the lipstick itself, the application is smooth the color is true to appearance and there is no overbearing scent. I get a good 3hrs of wear before I need to touch up and it doesn't dry out my lips.

I give NYX a grade of B+. The color selection is impressive. At an average of $1.99 per tube NYX Round Lipstick is totally affordable and it's at a great value because their tube weights in at 4g/0.14g.

In conclusion, I love this lipstick!

* If you tend to have cracked/dry lips I wouldn't recommend this lipstick for you. It will bring too much attention to your creases
