National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (DVD, 2007, Special Edition)

The Griswolds are back.This third installment in National Lampoon's Vacation film series, is considered a holiday classic now.Clark Griswold(Chevy Chase)wants his family to have the "Hap-hap-happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby danced with Danny (bleeping) Kaye".What follows is the great funny situations and chaos that you are accustomed to from the Griswolds.From the 25,000 lights Clark puts on the roof,the cat chewing on the tree lights and frying,Uncle Lewis burning down the tree,Clark sleeding down a hill at top notch speed,to the return of Cousin Eddie(Randy Quaid,reprising his role from the first movie),this movie is just full of great comedy.Like the title of the review says,the last good vacation movie.Every Vacation movie that followed this,was crap(Vegas Vacation,Christmas Vacation 2:Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure ).

We bought this movie when it first came out on VHS, and I absolutely loved it. Almost every character is similar to someone in my own extended family! I feel a little more 'normal' every time I watch it. We upgraded to the DVD so that we can watch Christmas Vacation every year for the rest of our lives. Cousin Eddie rocks!

this has become a tradition in my household to watch the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at Christmas time! The movie doesn't have the same effect as it does when it is shown on Tv with scenes cut and language bleeped. I had to purchase this movie on DVD just so we could all share in Chase's true Holiday cheer the way it was meant to be seen! Thank you Chevy for blessing our home with laughter though out all these years! and may we pass down the tradition of Holiday Cheer with our Childrens children!~

This is my allllll time favorite Vacation movie, with Chevy Chase (out of the Vacation series). I have watched this movie every year since it was released. I always used to borrow my mom's DVD copy and decided this year would be the year I buy my own. I received it in the mail yesterday and even though I have seen this movie probably 15 times, I still laughed out loud during the whole movie. After watching this movie sooooo many times around, I always find new little funny parts, that were missed previous. This is the most fun out of all the Christmas movies I own. I love Chevy Chase, he his hilarious and Beverly D'Angelo is really funny too. If you want another great vacation movie, European Vacation with Chevy Chase is really good too, that would be my second favorite out of the series. Love, love, love this movie!

I love this movie. It's become a classic in our household and family. Still just as funny no matter how many times I've seen it. LOL, at some point in time I think anyone can identify with one or two aspects of the movie. Chevy and D'Angelo are an excellent pairing, and make the story line all that more believable. This is one movie I break out even when it's not the Holiday season, it's that good.
