NeatReceipts Mobile Handheld Scanner

I used to see the Neat Receipts kiosks in the airport and wonder why they were there. I used to all scanners were made equal so I used to completely ignore the kiosks. But recently I decided to invest in a mobile scanner and thanks to the magic of eBay, I bought a slightly used one. I WAS AMAZED!!! I have NEVER used a scanner that gave me such crisp and clear images!! I love the ease of use---simply plug in to my USB and voila'! Ready to scan! The software is awesome and the portability of this scanner is wonderful!! This is a great product and well worth its weight in gold!!

I live in a small condo with little stroage space. I am dropping all of my documents to PDF and saving on an External Hard drive. this will allow me to toss boxes of paper. I have not tried it on my photos yet, which I plan on organizing into folders, save to hard drive, and burn to DVD's. So far the Neat Receipts is perfect for my purpose. It is very small so storage is easy. It works as advertised, allowing me to scan, sort and organize.

A little trouble at first getting used to the program, but once you understand how the program works, it's a breeze. I liked buying a refurbished unit as normally they are like new and have to perform like new in order for the factory to sell them. You get a warrantee too. This way you'll be saving a hundred dollars or more. The desk top version was more my type of unit as it scans both sides of the paper and saves time and scans in black and white or color.

Customer support is there , but it takes a while for them to answer by phone. In my case it averaged about 30 to 45 minutes. I called twice. Both times it was just a simple task or answer to fix the problem.

I can really keep track more accurately what I spend my money on with this unit and have receipts stored digitally for future reference in case of a warrantee problem or records

i am very happy i bought this product. The scanning software is kinda stupid which sucks a lot of comp resources.. That is the only bad thing about this whole deal.

Will recomment this to any one in a heart beat... as the pros are more than the cons.. As they advertised.. Could have been better with a ligher software

No more paper pile ups .. All receipts and papers .....> scanned and trashed..

Excellent item, this is the third scanner we have purchased for work. The scanner is great for our sales force, in keeping and filing of receipts, for tax purposes and expense reports.
