    Product Features
    • Zoom in on a high powered camera at an easy to handle price
Great photos and superb HD movies begin with Nikon's high power 21x wide-angle optical Zoom-NIKKOR glass lens. This powerful zoom lens, with a 25-525mm range equivalent, closes the distance between you and your subjects. Capture your son firing off the game-winning lacrosse shot or your daughter's first ride on a two wheeler. Whether it's a panoramic shot of the entire family on a favorite sledding hill, or a photo of your children playing in the backyard, you'll shoot effortlessly and accurately with the COOLPIX L120.
    • One-touch HD movie recording puts friends and family in motion
As photo keeper of family memories, you can rely on the COOLPIX L120 to capture great still images that you can print and save. But a band concert without sound is incomplete and a 60-yard touchdown drive without the fleet-footed runs isn't as exciting. That's where the COOLPIX L120's advanced one-touch HD movie recording capabilities come in. With the push of a button you'll instantly be shooting 720p HD movies in full stereo. While shooting you can activate the camera's zoom function to capture tight shots and close ups. And when you're ready to share your movies with family and friends, you can use in-camera playback or the convenient HDMI output for simple hookup to an HDTV or computer.
    • Shoot snowboarders, Frisbee throwers and T-ball players with a single, versatile camera
Low-light conditions and fast action can defeat some cameras, but not the COOLPIX L120. With high ISO speeds up to 6400, you can be sure that still images and movies will be ideally captured. With Nikon's sport continuous shooting mode, this camera takes photos continuously and in quick succession to capture fast moving objects. You'll get great use of the in-camera editing functions, including D-Lighting for adjusting contrast and fine details often lost when shooting in glaring or intense light.
    • A camera so smart it knows when your subject smiles, warns you if someone blinks, and gets the red out of grandma's eyes
Behind every great photo and HD movie is the COOLPIX L120, a camera brimming with technological advances. Smile timer detects when a subject smiles and automatically takes the photo. Blink warning identifies when a subject may have blinked and signals you to retake the shot. Face-Priority AF is an innovative face-identifying technology that detects and focuses up to 12 faces automatically. Red-eye will no longer ruin family photos. In-camera red-eye fix automatically fixes the problem before it occurs. Blotchy, uneven complexions are also a thing of the past with COOLPIX L120's skin softening, which smoothes skin tones. This versatile camera also has 17 scene modes that adjust camera settings to selected scenes, assuring great pictures at school plays, backyard barbecues, or athletic events.
    • A dazzling three-inch color display brings your stills and HD movies to life
You'll enjoy composing images from the COOLPIX L120's bright three-inch LCD color display, which features a dazzling 921,000-dot screen that showcases still images and HD movies in rich detail and enhanced contrast. And for easy photo composition, improved picture viewing, and instant sharing, the LCD monitor's wide viewing angle and anti-glare coating lets you capture and view high quality images in virtually any lighting condition, every time.

Perfect for entry level and great price.
Pictures are superb quality and video is in 720p.

I use it for filming small projects and taking pictures.
    A 57 inch tripod would be perfect, I am 6 feet tall ( I have Polaroid $24.99).
I use a Sandisk 8gb class 10 ($15.00) and takes pictures very fast and reads them into camera very quickly.
I can honestly say I have nothing bad to say about this product. I paid $220 brand new with one year warranty, try and stay around that price.

Focus moves rather quickly, however there are two way to use the focus button. I prefer using the one in the lens, I feel I have better control. For beginners, learn how to handle a camera properly and the focus on the lens is going to be easy for you.

Is not bulky and very light.

Flash is a pop up and works great.
ISO is very good for an entry level camera.

The zoom is amazing but I would upgrade to a bigger lens, maybe 41x with wide angle and UV filters.

Well worth the money spent so far.

Excellent Camera - size and weight are great - there are so many different environment settings (night, portrait, fireworks, inside/flourscent etc) there is no way you can take a bad photo with this camera. Video is great - not High Def - but nice and clear. Anti-motion stabilizer is nice when shooting video. Flash is easy to control and zoom is amazing... one of the best I found and still take nice clear photos. I'd buy again in a heartbeat!

I am a professional photographer and purchased this as a beginner - high end camera for my teenage daughter. It is perfect, for capturing sporting events, kids, and even our dog that never sits still... No lag in capturing action.

Very nice quality for the price!

For anyone looking at getting a decent, mid-level point-and-shoot with the look and feel of an SLR, the Nikon Coolpix L120 is by far the best choice, even with its few shortcomings!

As a semi-professional photographer who primarily shoots film (but is slowly converting to digital) I always have kept at least a digital P&S camera with me to get those "quick" shots that I can't get because of the time involved in setting up the shot in an SLR. My previous camera, the Minolta DiMAGE S414 had been getting long in the tooth and was starting to glitch. A friend gave me his Nikon Coolpix E5200 and I was immediately hooked on Nikon's legendary imaging quality. However, the 5-megapixel sensor in the Coolpix E5200 was short of what I truly needed, so the same friend who gave me the E5200 also let me try out his Coolpix L110. I was blown away with how well the photos turned out! In my quest to buy my own Coolpix L110, I had heard back in February that Nikon was releasing the Coolpix L120, with a 2-megapixel increase over the L110 and several new features. Having read the first reviews of the camera, it seemed like a sure winner, so I took the plunge on March 14th of this year and secured one for myself.

Instantly, I was hooked on it. Right out of the box, this camera is a winner! The settings, user-interface, the sleek design and the nifty zoom selector on the lens barrel makes this camera worth every penny. In the short time I have owned it, I have already taken approximately 1,200 photos with it; everything from nature, bridges, even the sun! (with a solar filter, of course). And with its fantastic 21x optical zoom, I can photograph a car at more than a quarter-mile away and be able to clearly read its license plate!

The only drawback I can see is that Nikon has left out the ability to manually control your aperture and shutter speed settings (instead, leaving that for the Nikon Coolpix P500 which I was unimpressed with). However, those small shortcomings are overwhelmed by the simplicity this camera offers. Itching to get into Panorama photography, without the need for an expensive SLR with built-in panorama stitching? Consider it done! With this camera's Panorama-Assist feature (which overlays a small portion of the image onto the screen for the next shot to be composed), and the supplied Arcsoft Panorama Maker Pro 5 software, Panorama-style photography has never been more affordable. Looking to enhance photos with HDR-like color clarity? Consider that done, also! This camera supplies with it built-in D-Lighting that preserves the color intensity of an image yet bringing out the details otherwise hidden within dark shadows. Also supplied, incase you don't want to edit your images in-camera, is Nikon's own View NX-2, which not only includes D-lighting enhancement filters, it also offers a host of other image-editing capabilities!

I bought this camera for a trip to Brazil with friends. I love the style and am a huge Nikon fan, I own a D70 but did not want to bring it with me to Brazil. I liked the features and the picture quality is good. My first few pictures were all blurry on the easy auto function, but it only took a few minutes to figure out the best settings for my shots and from then on the trip was a breeze and I have beautiful pictures to show for it.
Seller is great, supper fast shippment.

I am a photo journalist, and I have had several digital point & shoot cameras, over the last 5 years, I had the Nikon L110, and was so happy with its performance, when I saw the L120 come out, I could not wait to get it, and it was definitely worth the wait, I highly recommend this camera to anyone who does not want to get a very complicated camera to operate, once you set the camera to your preferences, it pretty much is done, I only change the ISO settings to take photos at night, which this camera does very well using natural lighting conditions, I have never used a flash for any of my night time photography, the high ISO in this camera, negates the use of the flash. Definitely not a waste of money buying this camera, I am extremely happy with its performance.
