This camera is perfect.
I ordered a diff camera from eBay a month ago and i was overly disappointed so i was concerned about buying another one. but this one is great! i love all of the features and options. and people lie, the zoom is very easy to work with. and omg i love how to turn it on and off. its so easy and ive never had a camera anything like this one. i love being able to draw on my pics, tho i wish it had more colors to choose from. but that doesnt even matter becuz my last camera had nothing like that at all. if i could, id rate this a bazillion stars. its just so cool. && btw, it does have built in speakers. i didnt know that till i recived it becuz none of the reviews or info mentioned it. but now you know. (: i deff reccommend purchasing this camera. you'll love it!

The Nikon Coolpix S70 12.1 Megapixel is an excellent camera. I have gone through a bunch of camera's including canon pro shot and sony cyber shot. I also had the nikon s60 which is the older model which I really liked. So when the new model s70 came out I couldn't wait. It is the better updated verison of it. The front is sleek, thin, light weight, has a huge touch screen which is very responsive to touch, takes good pictures, has great slide review option, etc.. The only thing they could make better is the touch zoom, you really can't zoom it to where you want it. it zooms too much or too little, maybe zoom should not be touch screen.. aside from that you can point and touch the screen and it takes the picture it also has many differernt scenes you can pick from if you don't want to use auto. I have resently went through many camera's to find the right one becuase I just closed my jewelry business and didn't need a big canon pro shot anymore. I wanted a small compact digital camera. This in all is a very good camera. Love it.

Resultant photos are seldom sharp - even at higher resolution settings.

Capture delay can frequently result in blurred pictures, ie pet photography.

Focus selection area can be uncontrollable or inaccurate.

Turn-on default settings sometimes frustrating, necessitating much menu hopping.

Would I buy it knowing these things? Probably NOT.

Why did I buy it? Large monitor size.

Overall I cannot recommend this camera.

TV commercials made great hype on this camera so I always wanted one. Now the price is around $150 I had to get one.
Well..... not exactly as I expected. The touch screen takes 2,3 seconds to load between each picture so it's impossible to take multiple pictures quickly.
The flash is positioned too high so your fingers will always get in the way unless you are left handed. The camera does not have a solid feel to it like a Sony.
