Product Information
Ryu Hayabusa returns for more blood-spraying, limb-lopping combat for this third entry in Tecmo Koei's frenetic action series. A group of terrorists led by a mysteriously masked alchemist has seized England's prime minister, but he's not really who they want. Instead they have targeted Hayabusa himself, knowing he will come to London to rescue their high-profile hostage. The leader, known as the Regent of the Mask, has a devious plan for Hayabusa: infecting him with a curse in which the blood of his victims surges through his body, slowly killing him unless he keeps fighting.

Fortunately, the master ninja has a few new techniques in his arsenal, from high-diving toward enemies to scaling structures using the kunai. Hayabusa can also perform slides to avoid encounters or to stun enemies, allowing him to follow up with deadly combination attacks. In addition to the single-player campaign, Ninja Gaiden 3 includes cooperative play with the Ninja Trials mode, where you and a friend must work together in special team missions designed to test your skills. Online play is also supported in Clan Battles, where you'll challenge rival ninjas from around the world to earn experience and unlock various customization options.

    Save Yourself The Heartbreak

     | No, I would not recommend this product.

I'm a ninja gaiden fan. I've bought almost every edition of each game. Ninja Gaiden is known for its fast pace combat, deep combos, and stressful difficulty.

Lets cut to the chase. Ninja Gaiden 3 is bad. Like, Really bad. You don't feel like much of a ninja.

    -The Bad-

-Ryu Hayabusa is made to be heartless. In the first sequence of the game, you cut down a soldier who pleads and begs for his life. The soldier even goes out of his way to tell you about his family and that he didnt want the job. After all that, the game forces you to cut the dude in half.

    - Story is lackluster and the Main Boss is a half wit.

    - When controlling Ryu you barley feel like you are in command of a ninja. He slashes wildly and mostly misses his targets no matter how you aim

-Multiplayer is skill based. Not skill based as in if you are good you win, More towards if you've purchased extras you win. And if you've played a lot you'll win. Your ninja starts epicly barebones which makes it a uphill grind to get on to some kind of level playing field.

-No other items. (this is addressed with DLC though). Ryu has nothing to gather, nothing to make him evolve the game stays pretty stagnant the entire way through. You never feel stronger.

-Playing on higher difficulty just increases the number of enemies. On level one i sat for like 10 minuets in one arena fighting TONS of guys that just kept pouring in. Its daunting but not more difficult.

    -The GOOD-

    - It's nice to see Ryu again

    - Graphics aren't bad and seem to be a step in the right direction

-Multiplayer Co-op is welcomed, Misery always enjoys company

    -Verdict-

In the end, if you're a Gaiden fan, you'll have to try it. But trust the millions of reviews from big time reviewers like IGN and GameTrailers. They aren't being mean when they rate it so low. It's just not a good game.

This game is very cool, but prepare for difficult encounters with almost impossible scenarios with the enemies in the game. Cool story, nice visuals fun to play but also very tiring since it requires a butt-load of button smashing. I would have given the game a five out five but due to problems like a camera that doesn't like to move a dumbed down fighting system, and super insane difficult scenarios. It fails to reach the five out five mark. Still worth picking up though.

I was kinda of skeptical about this game, because of all the bad reviews it got. I've played all the Ninja Gaiden games and conquered them all, so you can say I'm a big fan of Ninja Gaiden. This game had some really awesome visuals and game play. I do miss the upgrading weapons and all the body limbs coming off, when battling your opponents. Over all, I enjoyed this game very much and didn't mind the changes Team Ninja did to this game. I give Ninja Gaiden 3 Four Stars out of Five.
