- THE GOOD
The Nokia N8 and Symbian 3 offer a better and more enhanced user experience than previous devices. The N8 delivers excellent camera and video quality. The smartphone has solid hardware and offers 3G support for both T-Mobile and AT&T. You get free turn-by-turn navigation via Ovi Maps.
- THE BAD
It's expensive. User interface is much improved, but still trails the competition in ease of use. The N8 can be sluggish. You only get a QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode, and there's no user-replaceable battery.
- THE BOTTOM LINE
The Nokia N8 excels as a camera phone, and the improvements of Symbian 3 make it one of the company's best smartphones to date. However, it still has its shortcomings and an expensive price tag, making it a hard sell for the North American market.

) symbian bell os. and less used phone. totaly good phone.but he didnt sent any accessories. thats a downside. phone baeutiful. only sim holder screwed up. thats a big job to change.

I bought it because of the camera lensa, Carl Zeis. It has a Corning Gorila Glass capacitive touch screen, very responsive. It is fast. It shows videos in very great quality.
The included SO (Symbian) could be somewhat easier to handle, but it's OK. I guess I won't miss thing like an Android OS.
I don't make an extensive use of all the capabilities that this phone offers, but I think it's OK in all ways
A friend of mine got an HTC Desire Z. That one is incompatible with 3G in my country, the N8 works great with 3G in Argentina. The HTC Desire includes only 1Gb of storage, the Nokia N8 has 16Gb of internal plus up to 32Gb in a micro SD card.
I recommend this. I think there are other offers with better price/quality or price/features, but the lens of the camera worth the extra money
