Product Information
Say hello to the Palm Treo 680 smartphone. It's your phone along with email, messaging, and web access. Not to mention your contacts, calendar, photos, and songs. Sounds like a lot. And it is. But everything's so easy to learn that you'll actually use it, which makes it anything but a typical phone. The same goes for design. Pick it up and you'll notice a large color touch screen and an easy-type keyboard. Since the Treo 680 is just the right size, you have the freedom to take it anywhere and still be connected to friends, work, and family. Of course, there's also something called an "off" button, for when you don't want to be connected at all.

Palm Treo 680 - GSM expandable smartphone w. features

Created: 03/03/10
I bought the Palm Treo 680 to replace one that I had 'loved to death' and I can't imagine life without it. Actually, some day I hope to replace it with a Palm Pre when it is available in a GSM version in the US. Meanwhile, this is my device that does everything - web browsing, emails, text messages, mp3 player, e-book reader, list maker, calendar, alarm clock, inventory management, games, instant messenger, facebook interface, calculator, world clock, video player, camera, unabridged dictionary, modem, a physical qwerty keyboard with all the special symbols available, and more. It even holds hundreds of genealogy records and has multiple translations of the Bible on it. There is plenty of software available, both freeware and for purchase, so I have customized it to fit my tastes. Palm OS is easy to use and intuitive. It can handle an expansion card as large as 4 gigabytes which allows me to have an unlimited amount of music, photos, and videos at my fingertips. I could use a bigger screen but that's why I will upgrade to the Palm Pre in the future. For now, I will continue to enjoy this multiple tasking device that enables me to take so much with me in a compact size.

Palm Treo 680

Created: 18/03/10
I've been using Palm PDA for years. I used to have Palm Tungsten T, Tungsten T3, Tungsten T5, Tungsten TX, and now I own a Palm Treo 680.

The quality of the phone is decent. Signal with AT&T (what I am using) is strong. It has shortcut button for nearly everything that you need on a phone. There is a mute button on the top, lowering and increasing volme is very easy with the up and down side button. The quality of the speakerphone is great and there is also option for handsfree or bluetooth wireless headset.

I also like the datebook feature. It is easily setup to organize your weekly activities in an orderly fashion.

The storage feature for sms in this phone is also quite neat where it keeps all the sms text from the same person in a chat-like conversation. I used sms a lot so the tiny little keyboard is great to typed up sms quickly.

The voice recording feature is also nice to have. I used it once in a while for reminders.

The only down side of the treo is probably its thickness. It looks kinda bulky when I put it in my pocket. And if you like to browse the internet, this is probably not the best device since it is kind of slow for that purpose .

But overall it is really a good product from Palm.

Palm's are still the best!

Created: 10/03/10
I bought this for my wife cause I think there's still no easier smartfone to use. For work, I've had a blackberry and now an iphone, but still think the Treo's and PalmOS are the easiest, most convenient to use, by far. Sure, the iphone has cooler apps and nice features, but for most purposes, the treo excels. Some examples? The treo seamlessly moves from phone to texting whereas the iphone requires you exit the phone app and re-enter the text app (and vice versa). The tactile keyboard of the treo blows away the iphone's on screen keyboard. Navigation is easier with the up/down/right/left/center control than the "swishing" movement the iphone requires. For me, the screen is much easier to read. All of these little things are taken for granted until you lose them. They make a big difference and result in a phone that's easier to use for 80% of what you need than the iphone. It's shame Palm is about to disappear.

Palm has the best phones EVER!!!

Created: 18/06/10
These phones are absolutely awesome! They are durable and extremely useful. You can get free applications for them on palmgear.com. They are the easiest phones to learn how to use I have ever had. The address book and scheduler become hard to live without after just a short time. This phone is one of the best investments I have ever made and I would recommend it to anyone. I would not trade this phone for anything! I think I have fallen in love with the Palm world of devices. MP3, Video, Schedule, Bank Recording, thousands of free addon apps. How can it get any better?
