) This unit can be run off the return pressure from your main pool pump, does a great job and cleans the pool in a couple hours. Not good for fine alge dust but great for maintaining the pool once you manualy vacuum it in the spring. Stainless steel ball bearings and very easy to work on and fix anything that might wear out after about 20 years of use. I work on swimming pools profesionaly and have seen these units last 20 years, rebuild them then keep going as if new. These newer 360 models are run by belts inside that wear out within 10 years or so but are easy to replace, no more stripped gears is the good news, cheaper to fix ... love them.

It's a great little robonic cleaner. Our pool has 3 round steps and a level that is like an underwater lounge area - the Polaris does not climb steps well or is able to clean sharp corners - other than that it is a gem. We live in an area that is flat and debris blows into the pool daily - this little gadget eliminates daily cleaning manually - so while the Polaris is doing it's job we can attent to other things.

this is a very capable pool cleaner, very easy to maintain yourself, there is a band (drive belt) that breaks occasionally which you can replace yourself easily. it is a simple yet efficient cleaner. you do not need a dedicated pump. i've had mine for 14 years so far. you must keep the debri bag clean and replace them when they get funky, about 1-2 years. i have 2 which i interchange.

) My second Polaris. Saves time and money. I used to spend the first 30 minutes cleaning the pool every time I wanted to use it. Now the kids and I can just jump right in.
Spreads chemicals evenly throughout the entire volume of the water saving unecessary extra chemicals.
I simply wouldn't have a pool without it!

) If Polaris were smart they would stop making this 360 product.
I have a 30 year old Polaris 180 that cleans circles around the 360.True you don't need a booster pump for the 360,but will not pickup the fine stuff either.Best bet is the 380.It will need the booster pump, but you can clean with just a flip of the switch.
