Album Notes
Audio Mixer: Mike Wrucke.Liner Note Author: Judy Forde-Blair.While Miranda Lambert's first two albums spun tales of kerosene fires, bar fights, and firearmed vengeance, REVOLUTION finds the Texan taking some degree of comfort in her relationship with Blake Shelton, whose influence helps govern the album's mellow moments. Lambert has never played by anyone's rules, be they dictated by Nashville or society in general, but she has carved out her own set of principles over the course of a four-year career. Accordingly, REVOLUTION offers a strong, cohesive take on what has quickly become the "Lambert sound:" a blend of lilting ballads and loud, fire-breathing anthems, many of which owe as much to rock & roll as country. She's more comfortable with the slower songs this time around, and "Dead Flowers" is perhaps her strongest vocal performance to date. Even so, the harder numbers continue to pack the strongest punch.

Editorial Reviews
This time, we get 'Dead Flowers' and 'Me And Your Cigarettes,' both of which drop Lambert's guard.

Among the highlights on the new set are Lambert's rocking twist on John Prine's `That's the Way the World Goes `Round' and the retro-sounding `Me and Your Cigarettes.'

Another Good One

Created: 16/10/09
Miranda Lambert's 3rd effort is good. Not, in my opinion as good as "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "Kerosene", but I suspect that it is just the fact that I like some of the tracks better--especially "Dry Town" as it reminds me of the place I grew up--no beer, no liquor. "Only Prettier", "Time To Get A Gun", "Sin For A Sin" are the best tracks on the album. ML has a great voice, but the CD is a little more "studio in style" than her first two efforts. Why take a great talent and cover it up with "fluff"? Overall, though, worth the purchase, if you are fond of ML.

A surprisingly amazing and talented singer.

This album really touches on all of country music's most popular themes. It has a little bit of cheatin', a little bit of good ol' country fun, and a whole lot of musical story tellin'.

The "House that Built Me" is an impressive, emotional hit. The song REALLY connects with most people.

Miranda Lambert seems like she's on par with giant mega-stars and compares to Carrie Underwood. Miranda has a great image, has a voice that's in demand and in style with today's music, and she seems to be down to earth.

If you like today's country music, you should listen to this CD.

Miranda Lambert Revolution

I am a 60 year old former disc jockey with 37 years experience in radio with a primarily rock background..If you want to dabble in some country Miranda is someone to check out..She has a rock sensibility with a no-nonsense attitude and "hip" songs that are still true to a country base. She is not your standard cookie cutter artist that passes for country these days. Do yourself a favor and join the Miranda Lambert Revolution!!

This is a great CD, especially if you are a Miranda Lambert fan. It includes the song, The House That Built Me, which I love. I bought the CD mainly for that song, but found all the songs on the CD are really great.
