This product does a good job, but has limits on the thickness being shredded. I bought the item for use in shredding identifiable documents.It compare favorably to another, more heavy duty shredder we have.

I bought this paticular shredder because it is a cross cut shredder.It helps me keep up with all the junk mail and paid bills with personal information on them. It works great, just wish the holding basket was larger.overall I am very pleased with it.I researched several different styles and types this one suited my needs best.

I bought this paper shredder to keep close to the entry door, but out of view, so I can shred junk mail the minute it enters the house. It gets used daily and it hides conveniently behind an entry way chair. The attached canister gets emptied every week with the rest of the garbage/recycling. Its sound effects are interesting in that I hear chewing and grinding at times; overall, a satisfactory sound after a long work day. Until junk mail is outlawed and identity thieves are more severely punished, this is one of my tactics to combat both.
