    A down-and-out big-city reporter (Richard Gere), in a last-ditch effort to save his tarnished career, chases a scoop on a mercurial, small-town girl (Julia Roberts) known as the Runaway Bride, due to her habit of leaving her grooms-to-be on the alter.     Rated PG. Maggie (Juilia Roberts) a small town girl is well known for bolting at the alter, leaving the groom standing. Ike (Richard Gere) a big city newspaper columnist goes overboard with a tell all story about Maggie, losing him his job. He goes all out to vindicate himself by moving to Maggie's town. He makes a genuine nuisance of himself by following Maggie everywhere as she prepares for her upcoming wedding. What he doesn't count on is falling in love with her. A very funny romantic comedy.

    The Classic chemistry with Roberts and Gere. Love them both. BUT was not a Pretty woman if that is what you are looking for. This one has it's own kind of a NEW Chemistry between the two. Although they are Brilliant together no matter What they star in. I loved this movie. It did make me cry and it did make me want more!
    I do recommend it as the classic type of movie to have a copy in the house for that rainy day!

    In Runaway Bride, Richard Gere is a reporter and tries to hang on to his career by chasing down this story. He ends up falling in love with her.
