) The drive is great. It is compact and easy to store out of the way. I paid less on eBay than any store was selling it for. My only regret was not buying the 2 TB drive. Performance is excellent with Acronis True Image 2013 which is the backup software I use. I bought a new computer, loaded about 60 GB of data and had to reformat the hard disk afterwards. The backup worked great.

I buy this product why I need more storage space, and the Seagate is great, beatiful design, small, and the transfer rate is fast. One disvantage is that the USB 3.0 cable has a different conection on the HD side, I can't use one another standard usb cable. Recomend it!

) I bought this product to backup my laptop computer just in case it fails. The setup of the hard drive was extremely easy and it was very easy to change the settings for determining when the hard drive would backup the files on the computer. I chose once a day around a time that I would usually be on the computer. You can also manually select to backup all of the files from your computer. The size of the external hard drive is pretty small, I'd say around 2x3.5 inches. It is very portable, I just throw it in my back and I'm on my way. It feels very sturdy. I have no complaints for this external.
Potential problems no way of fixing them?

I downloaded about 95 movies on it and without warning it just stopped working. No computer that I attatched it to would recognize it. I've worked with it for about a week. Finally just stopped working on the problem for now. I couldn't find any web site information for help. When I first got it I liked it a lot. Would likely purchase anyother, haven't decided for sure.
