) I have had this drive about a month. Didn't realize there is a 2tb limit on non-current computers as I was putting this into a 3 yr old Dell Precision T7400 Workstation and needed to run a Seagate DiscWizard to install the drive and create two separate partitions one at 2tb and another at 750gb but all went well. The drive does make an audible sound whenever first accessed by the system. Others have mentioned this also. Doesn't seem to bother performance, and note this is not my boot drive but a data storage drive. My experience in the last few years with Seagate drives has been excellent so I am expecting the same with this drive. The price for this drive is an excellent bargain.

I buy this product because its Capacity and high Performance with a good price value! Work very quiet but a little high heat, you can add a cooler or fan to cool it, for better performance and for enhance work durability.
Extra space is always much welcomed!

Excellent and fast drive with plenty of space for whatever you desire to save. Good hard drive, I got my money worth. Good overall speed and the Seagate brand name behind. Highly recommended.

This is a good drive for the price

) This hard drive is a pretty decent drive. If you are new to the higher capacity drives though you might get an initial scare. I only bought this drive because I have always wanted a large drive so that I may not run out of space every six months. However, when I installed the drive I did get a scare. Windows 7 and I believe 8 cannot initialize a drive bigger than 2TB using the master boot record or MBR. There is however a new way of initializing drives that are larger than 2TB using something other than MBR, it is called GPT. I cannot remember what the acronym stands for but I am sure that you can look it up without any trouble on Google. Outside of that though, I am very happy with the drive.
