Synopsis
With the same extraordinary skill that he used to demystify scientific abstraction and the new physics, Gary Zukay, the award-winning author of The Dancing Wu Li Masters, here takes us on a brilliant and penetrating exploration of the new phase of evolution we have now entered. With lucidity and elegance, Zukav explains that we are evolving from a species that pursues power based upon the perceptions of the five senses -- external power -- into a species that pursues authentic power -- power that is based upon the perceptions and values of the spirit. He shows how the pursuit of external power has produced our survival-of-the-fittest understanding of evolution, generated conflict between lovers, communities, and superpowers, and brought us to the edge of destruction. Using his scientist's eye and philosopher's heart, Zukav shows how infusing the activities of life with reverence, compassion, and trust makes them come alive with meaning and purpose. He illustrates how the emerging values of the spirit are changing marriages into spiritual partnerships, psychology into spiritual psychology, and transforming our everyday lives. The Seat of the Soul describes the remarkable journey to the spirit that each of us is on.

Brian Weiss, M.D. Chairman of Psychiatry, Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Miami, and author of Many Lives, Many Masters Filled with wisdom, and written in a beautifully simple, almost poetic style, The Seat of the Soul is a book to be savored.

Huston Smith, Ph.D. former professor of philosophy, MIT, and author of The Religions of Man How remarkable -- to find that one of our finest interpreters of frontier science is equally conversant with the human spirit. This augurs well for our times.

Library Journal A readable, thought-provoking [work] on how our perceptions must change dramatically if we are to survive.

Library Journal A remarkable treatment of thought, evolution, and reincarnation.

Seat of the Soul

If you are a SEEKER and have read books by Wayne Dyer, etc. leading up to this
then you are ready for SEAT of the SOUL. Save his first book THE DANCING WU
LI MASTERS for later. Gary Zukov is a Gift to Us - this is, simply put "THE
BEST BOOK you may ever read if you are SOUL SEARCHING for your TRUTH - I
emphasize YOUR. We are all free to choose our own path - we are NOT free to
judge the path others choose. The GOOD energy of the Universe has been channeled through Gary - how or why, I do not know. But, he will want you to
read more about QUANTUM PHYSICS. In time, you like I, will actually understand
how the energy in our world operates. You will learn the differences in INTENTION. You will be able to understand the importance of AUTHENTIC POWER and not feel you are above or below anyone with more money and STUFF or a title. You will learn reverence for ALL others in this book - IF YOU ARE READY - YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE POWER INSIDE YOURSELF. Oprah
said that outside the Bible - it is the most important book in her life. It is
for me - like attending a 10 day seminar every time I read it. It is also
beside my bed. It has been a light in the darkness of the world for me and
will probably remain so for my lifetime. Gary Zukov is an extraordinary man
and teacher. Educate yourself so that you can also share his exciting philosophy about living this life you have been given.

The best book I have ever read

Created: 24/07/07
You have to have an open mind when reading this book. Understand it is a perspective to be considered. It is written as if it is the truth, however, understand it is a perspective of a man- a good one at that. Do not be discouraged by other people who write that Zukav is not a christian, therefore the book is awful. Open you hearts and minds to new ideas- this is how change happens. A few things I took fromt he book:

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction
Your intentions create the reality that you experience
The only control you have in life is your reaction to a situation
Find the positive in all things, even bad

This is a highly reccomended read. It is an eye opener, and an interesting take on life. Happy Reading!

I have a curiosity about my soul. What it is, where it comes from and where it may be going. I got my answers and then some. I have begun some spiritual studying and wanted to expand my thinking and this book did just that. The book gave me some great insight on some experiences and a new way of looking at them. The book is very easy to read and understand. It is a book I will keep for some time and reflect back on. LOVE IT.

Hated it - tossed it in the trash. I thought the author was a Christian - he believes in reincarnation & all the new-age crap. Awful, awful, awful. Save your money....

I'm still in the process of reading this wonderfully inspiring book. I bought this book because the author was interviewed by Oprah on one of her shows and because I was so moved by that interview, I immediately bought it and I'm very happy that I did.
Thank you.
