Sex and The City COMPLETE Third Season 3 THREE
Created: 29/05/06
The third season was the charm for one of HBO's gold standard series, which earned its first Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series to go along with its Golden Globes for Best Comedy Series and Best Actress (Sarah Jessica Parker). Like I Love Lucy, the series benefited from a brief change of scenery with a three-episode jaunt to Los Angeles, where Carrie and company encountered, among others, Matthew McConaughey, Vince Vaughn, Hugh Hefner, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Join Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) as they do weddings, funerals, and Bat Mitzvahs; Staten Island, the meat-packing district, and the Playboy Mansion. The third season fittingly includes a host of "A-list" celebrity guest appearances, including Carrie Fisher, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Hugh Hefner, Donovan Leitch, Matthew McConaughey, Alanis Morissette, and Vince Vaughn. So get ready to cross the velvet ropes and enter a world of... Sex and the City.

Awesome!

This is a very funny interesting series about single women in New York and relationships/sex. You never know what is going to happen next.
Sarah Jessica Parker and her friends experience the relationships/sex life of New York city. They laugh, they cry, learn new thing about themselves, and try to find love.
I like this because it breaks taboos and discusses real issues 30 something women have in the dating world. The only thing that may detore you from buying it, is the amount of nudity in this show. It is not suitable to watch this with children nearby. Other than that call the girlfriends over and have fun watching, laughing, crying, and discussing what this show is about...sex! Also if you liked this you might also try "The L word" its like a lesbian sex in the city.

Unique and Great

This show is the perfect blend of comedy and therapy. I have much to reflect on after an episode about my own relationships and the foolishness involved.
The questions asked as Carrie writes her articles (the basis for her narration in the series)provide quite stimulating conversation long after the episode has ended.
If you are reading this article, i am sure you have already seen seasons 1 and 2, and really don't need me to urge you to buy this season. However, this season is a favorite of mine because it Introduces Aiden, which could be the perfect guy for Carrie, but--well, you will see for yourself.
This DVD is a great way to get your friends hooked if they havent been already. As a matter of fact, 4 of my friends got hooked through the DVD series and not by watching it as it came out on HBO.
Enjoy for yourself, and raise your martini high!

Great Midway Point for Fabulous, Heartfelt Series
Created: 05/05/08
Sex & the City was truly a revolutionary series. For the first time, women were seen on television in powerful roles where the men were sidekicks, and the conversation had no boundaries. Just look at all of the copycats out there today: from Lipstick Jungle to Yasmin birth control pill commercials, everyone wants to portray the fabulous, fancy-free lifestyle of a powerful woman and her gaggle of friends.
But what really makes S&TC stand above all the others is its heart. These women become your friends because you learn all about what makes them tick. They aren't heartless, cold bitches, but people whom you could see being friends with, or could identify with. They have it all but something is always right out of their grasp, and so you cheer along with them as they succeed and want to console them when they blunder. The commercials can't do it justice, because there is no fun way of showing the camaraderie of friends when one loses the love of her life, marries the wrong man, or gets cancer. HBO allowed the characters free rein to say anything, just like we do in real life, and the results can't be duplicated.
There's only one Sex & the City.

Season 3: The "Big" Affair ...
Created: 01/09/06
With Season 3, Sex and the City reached a zenith in story-telling that propelled it to the end of the series. For the first time, the characters went from being paper dolls to three-dimensional characters and experienced real emotions. The show thankfully abandoned shallow and silly storylines like the one earlier in which Charlotte dropped a potential husband because he didn't like the same china pattern and instead, focused on complex relationships. The story of Charlotte and Trey, Carrie and Aidan AND Mr. Big plus Miranda and Steve and Samantha and Whoever were never more compelling. Impotence, passion, humor, romance and ex-boyfriends were woven together in a not-to-be-missed show. With Charlotte's wedding, I think this was my favorite season.
