The Sharp AQUOS LC-46D82U features a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 with a brightness of 450 cd/m2. This LCD TV comes with a response time of 4 ms and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It includes a built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuner, which may allow the buyer to receive TV channels over the air without the need for a cable TV box. The audio on this Sharp 46-inch HDTV is handled by two 15-watt, built-in speakers. The lamp life for this TV is estimated to be about 60,000 hours, and power consumption is estimated to be about 285 watts when in use. ) I purchased the set to hang on the wall at our organization's meeting hall. It is flat out AWESOME! The picture, now receiving DirecTV HD, is perfect. Last year I purchased the Sony XBR3 46" and while it is nice, this 46" by Sharp is a step ahead. Had I waited one more year, I would have bought two of these. One for home, and one for the hall. In addition, I would have saved over $2000 on both!
