I decided to buy Shrek the Third b/c I already own the previous two movies and all were very enjoyable to watch. I am glad to complete the set with the third movie! Micheal Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas and even Justin Timberlake made this one of my all time favorite animated movies!

When Shrek married Fiona the last thing he had in mind was becoming the next King of Far Far Away. But when Shrek’s father-in-law, King Harold, suddenly croaks, that is exactly what he faces. Recruiting Donkey and Puss In Boots for a new quest, Shrek sets out to bring back the rightful heir to the throne. Meanwhile back in the kingdom, Fiona's jilted Prince Charming storms the city with an army of fairy tale villains to seize the throne. Fiona and a band of princesses must stop him to ensure there will be a kingdom left to rule!

Inferior to the First 2 Shrek Movies
Created: 28/12/09
My 3 year old son loves the first 2 Shrek Movies - especially the 2nd one - and we caught Shrek the Halls on TV as a Christmas special, and he loved that too. So, I decided to purchase Shrek the Third to complete our collection, and although the main characters are still entertaining for the most part, the additional characters - including Merlin and Artie (King Arthur) just seem like they were thrown in. The story line doesn't flow and with the absence of the Fairy Godmother, there aren't any big musical numbers - which is what keeps my son's attention. All in all, it's not a BAD movie, but it's really a big step down from Shrek 2.

My family loved the first two Shrek movies so I thought why not get the last one so I did. It was the best of all three I think. Funny and kept moving...no slow spots. Shrek goes about to find someone to take on his royal responsibilities and in doing so realizes he's one of them too. The comedy was great the kids never stopped laughing.
