Sigma 70 mm-300 mm F/4.0-5.6 Motorized DG Lens For Nikon

Just bought this Sigma lens 70 mm - 300 mm F/4.0 -5.6, I took it to the Northstar Dragway and got some excellent shots of the drivers faces. I normally use the my Nikon 200 mm and have been looking for a newer lens for my D5000 but the prices are extremely high for what I am looking for. This lens (even though manual on my D5000) it has outstanding colors and to focus manually is super easy and I can focus it on the dragsters faster then my camera does on the 200 mm. I bought this lens for under a hundred dollars and I am extremely happy with it.

I have just recently purchased this lens and am real pleased so far as to how it works. It attaches real smoothlyt to the F mount on my D3000 and the Auto focus works great. So far the few pictures I've taken are clear, have great color and extends my distance for animal shots and distant subjects. I am an ameature for sure and I'm just learning so I don't profess to know alot. I know for the money it is a great lens and serves my purposes well. everything on it operates smoothly both manually and automatically. I can't believe how close you can bring distant subjects in and details on small things is great. I am a happy camper for sure.

It's OK. The description claimed that it was auto focus capable and on my Nikon 3100 it will not auto focus. No big deal. The price was right and I'm an old 35 mm guy used to using manual settings.

I LOVE this lens. I am an amature photographer and shoot my kids and nature things. I can focus in on my kids during their band performances and the pictures auto focus. Awesome. Yes I would recommend this lens. For the money the value is great. I love my Nikon 3100 camera and this lens was a great addition to the lens that came with the camera.

Super value for money. Quality is not bad and auto focus pretty quick and quiet bought it used in eBay worth the money. Took the picture of a half moon was worth hanging in the wall
