Sirius Stiletto 2 For Sirius Car & Home Satellite Radio Receiver

Excellent radio. The Sirius Stiletto 2 works like a DVR for audio on Sirius/XM radio. It automatically captures 80 hours of audio from any channel and you can replay it later with headphones or connected to any speakers. The radio is small, like an IPOD, and you could put the manufacture headphones on and walk down the street and pickup the satellite directly.

In 2002 my wife and I bought a sailboat and went sailing. We started out in Annapolis, MD and ended up in Bocas del Toro, Panama. On the way down the Intracoastal Waterway, I had trouble finding a radio station I liked. Sirius Satellite radio was in its infancy, but seemed like the solution. So I purchased a radio and auto kit (boat was also 12 volts DC) and put my antenna on the cabin top. I purchased a "lifetime" subscription for $399. Great reception all the way to Mexico and Belize. But further south, needed a better antenna as the signal was weak. Found the Pixel which greatly increase reception all the way to Panama. Only issue was that it was directional so at anchor, bought a "Follow-Me_TV" antenna stabilizer.

I am listening to Sirius as I write this in my office. I bought this radio as my current one is about 6 years old and I fear it will "die" one day and didn't want to have to go looking for a replacement years down the road. The Stiletto 2 is my current radio and my Jeep and office have the "base" for this and I didn't want to have to replace all that when (if) the radio dies. The Stiletto 2 is also capable of listening to Sirius via Wi-Fi, so I can take the radio and a boom box out to the patio and listen over the internet. The unit has a built in antenna and I've even listened to live Sirius while flying in commercial airplanes. I just determine which way the flight will go and secure a seat on the North side of the airplane. i put the radio between the sunshade and window and listen. This unit also can store music, so that even if you don't have satellite reception, or Wi-Fi, you can listen to the music you previously recorded.

I find the Stiletto 2 to be the best all around entertainment device of its kind.

I love this radio. I ordered a factory refurbished one to replace one with a cracked screen. None of the new Sirius units have the same capability as the Stiletto 2. I use at the gym, at work, in the truck and in the garage with a home docking station. Great for satellite radio and agood mobile music player for your favorite CDs.

Unless sirius comes enabled in your car's stock stereo this is the best option. Compact and you can take it anywhere. Also doubles as an mp3 player.

I upgraded from a Stiletto 10 to the Stiletto 2 so I had to purchase a car dock and home unit. They both work great. The antennas work well and the Stiletto 2 has a wi fi feature to get clear reception thru the internet. I would definately recommend purchasing this item.
