Smokey and the Bandit Pursuit Pack (DVD, 2003)

Love all three Smokey and The Bandit Movies they are one of a kind a must see.
I loved it because all three movies are on DVD and they are in a box set.

I love the old originals, Smokey and the Bandit takes me back to my childhood. I mean who doesn't love an action packed movie with cb antics, fast cars, great story lines, and an even better cast. Although in my opinion they bombed when they attempted to make the third film without Burt Renoylds, the first two were great. Some of Jackie Gleasons best work ever with unforgetable lines and catch phrases. Jerry Reed is a great supporting actor in the first two films but again, he had big shoes to fill in the third and in my opinion, came up short. Dome Deluise was also a great addition in the sequel to the original. I believe slapstick comedies died in the 80's with the Cannonball Runs, Smokey and the Bandits, Gumball Ralleys, Hollywood Knights, and American Grafitti. I mean you just don't find films today with a star-packed casts like you did back then. Now a days the closest you come to it is a Date Movie, or Scarey Movie and all their worthless sequels. Please, I don't watch them on cable and couldn't imagine someone actually paying to see them in a theatre.

How can you go wrong, three "Smokey And The Bandit" movies for one great price! You get "Smokey And The Bandit", "Smokey And The Bandit 2" and "Smokey And The Bandit Part 3" on one disc. Granted the original "Smokey And The Bandit" released in 1977, was and always will be the best of all the "Smokey" movies. "Smokey And The Bandit 2" released several years later was good but didn't do justice to the original. "Smokey And The Bandit Part 3" released in 1983, is okay, nothing great and features "Jerry Reed" as The Bandit. The picture quality is excellent and is the widescreen format. Note: "Smokey And The Bandit" and "Smokey And The Bandit 2" are on the regular disc play side, while "Smokey And The Bandit Part 3" is on the flip side. If you enjoy car chase movies then this is one collection you gotta have.

The original Smokey and the Bandit is amazing. Remembering watching this with my father brings back good memories and for each additional movie pulls my interest away. It is nice to have all the movies on one DVD, but the original movie is the main reason to purchase this pack.

I wanted all three of the Smokey and the Bandit DVDs. I had a choice of two of the movies on seperate discs or the Pursuit Pack. I chose the Pursuit Pact. It was easy and fun.
