Sony Handycam DCR-SR45 30 GB Camcorder - Black/Silver

This is super product, great addition to our gear here at WHPS (West Houston Paranormal Society) for long overnight investigations on complete darkness. The fact that it doesn't use outdated tapes allows us to quickly transfer to our computer to review and show our clients.

Great feature for the advanced but still easy to use for first timers to look like a big movie producer.

Loved the value, had been pricing in stores and this was by far the best value and the extras were a bonus!!! Decided to buy it for the name and the value. There is nothing that I dislike about this camera. I am not camera or computer savvy and the instructions were easy to understand. I also decided to buy this product because I had an old camera, much larger and it quit working. My 11 year old son is involved in sports and it has always been very important to me to record events in his growing years as well as everyday things. I didn't have this luxery growing up and wish that I had.

very-very good for personnal use, but the night shot is not good as the old model (8mm model) good image .... at 3 meters..... more..... nothing....the dark.....)

The product I received is in excellent condition and the seller was A+++.

I bought the recorder for ghost hunting, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to take it into the field yet. However, it works wonderfully around the house with the illuminator I found on e-bay as well. I bought an extra battery for the field so can't fully attest to the battery life, which was a concern and why I bought the extra battery.

I'd probably give this camera more 5's if I'd had the opportunity to field test it so please take this into consideration. I do love the fact that it is 'hard drive' cam corder rather than dv or dvr. I think this will be much easier to download evidence for review than the alternative.

Very happy so far and think this is an excellent option for ghost hunting and, most likely, capturing memories in general.

I am a consumer and a loyal customer to Sony products. I like their camcorders and DSLR cameras. I especially like their SR 45 HDD camcorders, with the high zoom of 40x and the various functions the camcorder has. It is always perfect to bring on a vacation, with its sleek, light and compact size. A precious moment can be taken instantly.

For a Sony lover, there's really nothing to dislike. However, to request for a HDD and a HD combination of a higher zoom, ie. 60x2000x. Sounds impossible now, but perhaps Sony will come out with that type.
