    Great little camera. I am a pro videographer and use this camera as a "second" camera for candid side, back, close shots. I love how easy is is to transfer the video into the computer using the Sony software. My only disappointments: 1) There is no LAN jack so I can't use the tripod handle controls, 2) To adjust white balance while shooting, you have to go into the the menu screen and click through to that control . . . which means you have to press the face of the viewscreen which causes camera shake. Also, maybe I just haven't find the command yet, but I don't seem to find a control for overcoming washout due to stage lighting.

    But very happy with this camera overall.

    This is a great camera. I now own 3 of these cameras. I do video projects on the side, and I am very happy with this camera. I have placed the VCL-HG0737C Wide conversion lens on each of the cameras. I also have a VCL-HG1737C Telephoto lens (little to no, vignette). I also have VCL-R2037 telephoto lens (noticable, vignette).

    The camera takes great photos as well. You are even able to take photos while videoing (takes several seconds to process). If you are wanting to take several shots in rapid session, this is not possible in this mode.

    I would also like to mention that once a lens is attached the camera's flash will not work. I had to purchase an external flash to solve this problem (Sony HVL-HFL1). It is ashame Sony no longer makes this model...

    This handycam is just excellent. No other word for it. I used it and replayed it, I could not believe this is from a handycam! I will give 10/10 points, that is all I can say.

    Great camcorder! Its has everything you need for video and pictures. The 10.2mp and its 12x optical zoom is as good as it gets. 120 GB is more than you need but that means no worries.
