Sony PSP 1000 Value Pack Black Handheld System(UK version)

I am a 37 year old Father of four who actually owns a Sony PSP 1003. These handheld games consoles are fantastic and I have many hours of fun on mine. I never use the internet on mine, but know that is very capable of handling it. The screen resolution is very good and the overall gaming experience is amazing for such a small console as this. The small screen runs smooth and the games are quick loading, not like lightning, but very reasonable. The battery life on these consoles are long lasting and very safe, so as small children can not get into the battery compartment without a little force. I prefer this model out of all the PSP's as it has a switch to open the disc drive door (UMD) unlike the later models that have doors that you can just open with your finger tips. These are heavy which can be a downside compared to the slim and light models, but I find it gives more stability within being heavy and it makes it more robust in my opinion.

Bought this for my son for xmas. The product is excellent. Just as described and easy to operat.Light weight and good handling -controls are easy to operate and light to touch..Screen is a good size and volume is correct.Adapts to personal headphones also.Unable to compare to other products of similar use as we have only had this one1

I bought this product so that i had a portable gaming console - i didnt want a faffy touch screen nintendo thing, nor the new sliding PSP GO, i just wanted a simple, robust console that i could take around without fear of breaking it. And It lives up to all expectations - whenever i have a spare 10 minutes, i can load it up and play a bit of F1 2009 or whatever, wherever i want, no need for a TV like my PS3, so i am taking it to Uni for gaming in a limited spaced room. all round great product, by far the best portable console around (better than the newer version for sure, as i know a few people who bought new ones and they broke easily, forcing them to switch back)
