The Sopranos - The Complete Series (DVD, 2008, 33-Disc Set)

This is a GREAT boxset and worth purchasing over the Sopranos boxset re-issued in 2009. This boxset contains 2 Music cds, unlike the 2009 set. I'm a hardcore Sopranos fan since it debuted in 1999 and this is a must have for any fan of the series. The boxset comes as a large book like case within a hard outer case. Also included is a black cloth cover for the book like case that houses the dvds. There is a section that has every episode description and comes with bonus material such as interviews with David Chase, Whacked Soprano Cast Memebers, Lost Scenes, and much more. Overall the boxset is FANTASTIC and a real gem for your collection!

I feel that this boxset is the best there is and that your better off purchasing this 2008 boxset over the 2009 boxset. The 2009 boxset does not house the dvds correctly, leaving the dvds susceptible to scratches. If your a true fan you probably don't want your dvds to get damaged that easily.

I really loved the TV show and wanted to purchase the complete series. Went to look in the store and almost fell over at the price! Decided to try EBay, got my set and it is great! Very nice packaging and and proud to own it. I am not a dvd buyer by any means, I think I only own maybe ten! lol So I think that says a lot that I am willing to buy this one.
If you loved the Sopranos then you should definatly own this!

Wow! I love the Sopranos, and this box set is amazing. The extras are great, though I would have thought there would have been more deleted scenes over the course of 7 seasons. Not a complaint (there are abut 16 deleted scenes) I just wanted more...nice touch is that, in addition to the 86 episodes, and the deleted scenes, they also included a number of the short "behind the scenes" features that HBO filmed over the years...along with two partial cast round tabel discussions, and an two interviews with David Chase...and three cd's worth of soundtrack music. One word of warning though, this thing weighs a ton! Nice packaging!

I purchased the entire series of the The Sopranos, and I was delighted. Well, that's exactly what I received, so I suppose I really have nothing to complain about. The problem is that the discs are packaged as "generically" as possible, (in cheap cardboard folders with four slots each, and each disc in a small plastic bag.) There is no description included whatsoever, as to what's on each episode. The only way to know one disc from another in each yearly episode is the blessed fact that the discs are numbered. (To find the name and description of the episodes, I actually had to go online and print out copies of each episode's descriptions, and then try to figure out which went with what.)
So - Why did I buy it? I love the Sopranos, and I'm on a limited budget. If you're in the same spot, this is definitely the deal for you. Just be prepared to do some work to enjoy it, as I did - and don't expect the "royal treatment." I decided to buy it because the description of the product and the accompanying photo made it look like a polished product, which, unfortunately, it's not. Again, though, to be fair, SO FAR, I must say that I got exactly what I paid for: A complete set of the entire Sopranos' series - and SO FAR - as of the middle of Season Three - there are no major glitches in the discs, at least. (I'll report back if there are.) I'm not writing this to complain, only to inform other buyers about exactly what they're getting - and not getting - which I wasn't aware of.

My wife and I have been watching the Sopranos on Regular TV and we always miss several episodes. We decided to purchase The Series, but were not ready to pay a hefty price.

We decided to look on Ebay and found the complete series from Dazed_Confused at a wonderful price. We are only on the second year, and the quality of the DVD's are exceptional.
