Description
Great Grip and Easy Hitting for the Higher HandicapperGolfing is a relaxing sport, but it is deceptively intense and unforgiving to the human body. Enter the TaylorMade golf club. While this lightweight golf club set is a good choice for every type of golfer, it is especially suited to older sportsmen and women as well as those with joint pain. The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Iron Set addresses the needs of golfers who want to lower their handicap safely. The TaylorMade golf club set is engineered to maintain the center of gravity through each swing, enabling easy launch with appropriate weight distribution and ensuring a higher, more powerful ball flight with increased ball speed and distance. There are several versions of the shaft, the two most popular being the stock lightweight steel shaft and the stiffer graphite shaft. Both versions of this golf club set have very long clubs, which may be initially intimidating to golfers who are not used to swinging with them. The added length, however, is great for higher handicappers because the shafts are still light and create a good bite on the greens. The shafts are also straighter and end in stronger, decreased lofts, making them easy to hit. Lightweight and ComfortableAn investment-cast maximum-perimeter weighted iron, the stock lightweight steel shaft available in a TaylorMade golf club is built for distance. The greater distance is such that some high-handicap players report being able to fly shots past pin high consistently, and sometimes over the green. The stiff graphite shafts available with the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Iron Set also provide greater distance and are engineered to reduce the shock transmitted through the shaft into the hands and shoulders, making the set a perfect choice for golfers who want power but not pain. The pitching wedge in this lightweight golf club set has a one-degree stronger loft than what is usually on the market, allowing for consistent drops in putting scores. The attack wedge provides the golfer with a nice, easy swing. There are some slight differences with either version of the TaylorMade golf club set; the club heads are larger than many other sets and the irons are thicker. The club head does carry a wider sweet spot because of this, making it easier to work the ball. The Learning CurveWith the lighter weight of the shafts, it may take time for the impatient handicapper to adjust his or her timing at impact. With the graphite shafts, a golfer may also see a looser shot dispersion. However, the shafts do create a higher trajectory with a solid feel. The stock grips of the graphite shafts of the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Iron set are a little small in diameter, so those with longer fingers may want to re-grip.Swinging AwayAnyone wanting to lower his or her handicap without risking joint damage will find both versions of the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Iron Set easy to hit and an excellent means of compensating for lost distance. For that reason, the TaylorMade golf club is ideal for older golfers as well as younger ones who have not reached peak physical condition. In addition, golfers who have bad backs will appreciate the lightness of the golf club set and the effortless manner in which the clubs can be put to good use. Graphite by nature transfers force to whatever is being hit and in this case results in long, straight hits, even when the balls are not struck at an ideal angle. The forgiving nature of the irons in this lightweight golf club set creates a very pleasant golfing experience, and the longer-than-average length of the shafts will suit most golfers. For the novice golfer, this set provides a great starting point, while for the more experienced golfer, the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Iron Set is the perfect way to enhance an already successful game. With record ratings on golf sites and the renowned eBay platform, a TaylorMade golf club is an essential tool for golfers regardless of their level of experience.

Quality product from a quality company. I was looking for solid, avgerage handicap golfer irons, and I think I found them. They have added a good 5-10 yards of flight, which for me means hitting the center of the green more often. The grips are really nice that came on the clubs as well. And for the price, you can't beat them. Give them a try, you'll see.

I was an avid golfer up in till five years ago, had major foot problems. This August I decided to start playing again. Ibought a very used set of Cleveand TA7's senior shaft due to age and the foot just to see how I would do. After finding out I could play again I bought a set of the Burner 2.0 senior shaft. The distance was slightly shorter than the TA7, even though the lofts are lower on the Taylor made clubs. My problem with the clubs there isn't one person writing a review on the Gun Metal clubs saying what happens to the face if you miss a shot and hit it on the toe, well it scratches it up. I know it was my fault, but one miss shot to the toe of the gun metal down to the original metal. So needless to say I wasn't to please if you are going to spend that kind of money for clubs the are manufactured in China you need to have better quality control and test it better before you sell it. Pro's are the people testing these clubs and they hit it in the middle, amateurs don't. So keep this in mind if you sometimes hit on the toe you are going to scracth up the finish and you will be upset thinking the manufacture could have been better for the price. Last thought if I could find a set of Cleveland TA7 in better shape than what I got I would buy them and would sell the Taylor Made.

I love these irons. They have a great feel and feel solid going through the ball at impact. I switched to a regular shaft because I don't have the same club speed I needed for my Ping's with stiff shaft. I've gained about 10 yards per club. The club head does seem to have a wider sweet spot than my old Eye 2's and are more consistant. The Superfast shafts help create a higher trajectory with a solid feel.

TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Iron Set

Created: 13/04/11
I bought this product because I needed to upgrade my golf equipment. I have been a life-long user of the TaylorMade product because of its performance on the golf course as well as its styling and reliability. There is nothing about this product that I dislike and I expect to continue buying TaylorMade golf equipment in the future.

Created: 31/01/11
These Taylormade Burner 2.0 irons are unbelievable! I have been using the Taylormade Burner Plus irons for a year and loved them. The 2.0's have added 15 yards to each of my clubs and are very accurate. The feel in the hands is awesome and the balance is unbelievable. Anyone wanting to add some distance and lower the handicap will have to get a set to believe it!!!
