TaylorMade R9 Fairway Wood Golf Club

No matter your handicap or your tendency on miss hits this fairway wood should fit anyones game. You can adjust the face angle of the club as well as lie angle and, after 30 minutes on the range you can have a fairway wood that fits your needs. Outstanding club with the technology that is needed to give you the results without making swing adjustments. I've owned many fairway woods over the years and this one is the best for me by far!

The ball comes off the face hot. I have only played with it one time. I really like it and it's not fair to give it a review but I did anyway. I have hit it on the range and it has all the potential to be a great club. I like the adjustability with the shaft. I first bought the R9 driver and I loved it. This is why I bought the 3 wood, also I have now purchased the 5 wood. I have the complete set 1,3,and 5. I have the 2009 Taylormade RAC Irons. The only thing I don't have that is made by Taylormade is my Putter. Taylormade products are the best line of clubs you can buy. I would not have anything else, and I have had them all.

the purpose of purchasing this club was to complete my set of woods with the same or similar to what my driver is. I like the club for the distance but it is hard to get control on direction because there is no alignment on the grip. While I understaqnd the rationale it just takes more time to define alignment. Other than that the club provides the kind of performance I expected and is definitely a good in the bag fairway wood.

I got this club because I have the R9 driver with the adjustable head, and I thought I would be able to find a good setting with this one. It turns out I use the same setting as on my driver, and I have to say this is the absolute best fairway wood I have ever hit! It has a super hot face, the ball just flies off of it, and with my setting I hit it either dead straight or with a little draw. As a bonus it is very forgiving. I have hit several shots that I know felt not real good and when I looked up I couldn't believe the result. My cart partner is tired of hearing my say after he says "good shot" to me, my saying, "that was all due to Taylormade engineering". I wish they made it a 7 wood.

After trying many fairway woods this was the only club I could consistantly hit straight down the fairway. I am new to golf and a 23 hanicap and I struggled with hitting from the fairway untill this club. I have yet to adjust the head because I have not needed to correct the ball flight in any way. My wife even loves this club and she has only played a few times. The high loft makes it very forgiving and when struck feels solid every time.
