I am a 15 handicaper that prefers the tour versions when buying equipment. Sometimes this is not the best move for my game, but not today. The TM R9 fairway wood is beautiful in the setup position and even more impressive when put into action. It is not hard to hit, the ball screams off the club face, and the ball flight is perfect for a 3wood. The ability to adjust ball flight allows for someone like me to have a club I can grow with as my swing evolves. Real winner here!!! No Regrets!!!

So I tried many different 3woods out there. i have to say I am partial to Taylormade equipment. After lots of comparison, I decided to purchase this R9 TP 3wood with the Matrix HD6 shaft. Honestly, I have tried this in five different shafts and the HD6 is the one I found to be the most responsive to what I wanted. With my high swing speed (116 mph avg.), i can still get a good feel at contact. After much research, this is the only shaft with the TM graphics that is NOT "watered down" from the original version. Thus being the only TP shaft that has a UPCHARGE from Taylormade. The R9 head is unbelievable at performance, look, and versatility whether teeing it up or off the fairway. i haven't even got the FCT factor. Be careful of the fakes, but if you research and find the right combo for your needs, i guarantee you will be satisfied.

Great club if you have the swing and swing speed!

The R9 tp fairway wood is a great club if you have the swing and the swing speed. If your a weekend only golfer, save your cash because you will not get anything out of this club. I played NCAA D1 golf and still play and practice 4 to 5 times a week. I love the club....Hit it high,low,draw,fade, and anything in between. My R9 tp is 15* with the f1 85 xstiff. BUT IF YOU PLAY ABOVE A 6 and be honest I don't care how much you want it or hit it good "to your standards" one time, get a more forgiving club and suck it up. Because the TP is just what it means Tour Preferred

) Very Nice quality Club. Grate look and setup.This fairway wood is long. Very stable shot making from the fairway and tee. I was surprized at the distance and accuracy. Shaft setting as shipped Neutral. great club would recommend highly. I have an R9 Driver and R7 5 wood great trio.

The Taylormade R9 TP 13 degree 3 wood just launches the golf ball. With the 8 different shaft settings you can adjust the club to your swing.
