Titleist 907D2 driver easy to hit
Created: 11/06/08
The Titleist 907D2 driver is as beautiful as it is a performer. It looks great and gives the feel of being able to do whatever you want with the ball. The sound is typical of similar high MOI drivers on the market; I prefer the sound previous Titleist drivers make. I got the 10.5 degree and am happy with it, but I would suggest the 9.5 degree since the 10.5 gets the ball high. I got the standard stiff shaft but would recommend a SpeedShaft for better feel. I get good distance with this driver but about the same as most drivers out there. But great driver for moving the ball. I bought this driver based on Golf Magazine's test results, past performance and the low cost from Ebay.

What a Stick!

This is really a great driver. Although it's pretty large (460cc), the profile is such that it appears much smaller. It's got a great feel when you swing it, and I hit it very well right out of the chute. I've hit other Titleist drivers before, but this one is really top-notch. Even off-center hits were pretty nice, and this is a club that the better golfers (sadly, not me)should be able to work pretty easily. And the club cover is much nicer than the old red, black and white socks.

907D2-the "D" stands for Dynamite!

I had been using the 905S with great success, and I could not believe this club would be that much better! Ball literally travels like a rocket and has a consistent flight pattern with a great launch angle. This driver is far superior to any of the other brands that I have tried. I am consistently in the 290-300 yard range. Sure, there are many guys that go well past this distance, but I would think this is still pretty good for a 62 year old lover of the game. Thank you Titleist.

This Driver Doesn't Lie

The Titleist 907D2 Driver is the players version of the 907 models that came out last year. For higher handicaps and for those looking for more forgiveness look for the 907D1 which has a triangular shape. The specific driver that I purchased has the Aldila Proto "By-You" 65-S shaft and I recommend it or any other Aldila shaft. They resist twisting and hold up to most any swing speed, barring any "Tigers" or "Holmeses" as in the "JB" variety. For you with the crazy fast swing speeds I recommend the Mitsubishi Rombax line. If you're trying to learn how to shape your ball, this driver will translate every nuance of your swing into ball flight. For a high fade, all you have to do is step back with your left foot and finish high. For a low draw, right foot back and finish low. I highly recommend this club and I highly recommend "ClubFindersGolf."

WOW...just love the feel and control

Titleist kept the traditional look and sound while gaining distance and penetrating trajectory characteristics. The shaft will make a big difference though in this club. I opted with my swing to like (and perform) better with the Titleist factory shaft from Graphic Design YS-6+ (stiff) because I got better consistency and distance/carry). My previous driver was a Cobra 454 Comp that was great in getting height in my drives but the carry especially in windy conditions was much less than the Titleist.
