Transformers: Dark of the Moon (DVD, 2011)

A mysterious event from Earth's past threatens to ignite a war so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save the planet. Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and the Autobots must fight against the darkness to defend our world from the Decepticons all consuming evil in this smash hit from director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg.

I had purchased this not only to finish out the trilogy on DVD, but also because Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock) lent his voice talents for the Sentinel Prime character as this was his final performance correlating with his complete retirement from the Star Trek Conventions. He will be sorely missed in the spotlight of theatre.

This movie is chock full of action and classic characters with new and improved looks, such as Shockwave and Laser Beak. I highly recommend this movie for the diehard Transformer fan. At least Megatron and Starscream finally met their demise.

In 1963 an alien craft was detected crashing on the Dark side of the moon, this launched the American space race to reach the moon as quickly as possible to discover what exactly crashed there. Upon arrival, Apollo 11 returned with evidence of Alien life. Subsequent Apollo mission were used to return artifacts from the wreckage.

Thus begins the third installment in the Transformers series and most of the originals are back along with a few new characters.

This was a very good, action packed movie that did not disappoint.

The cast includes: Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey and Leonard Nimoy as the voice of Sentinel Prime.

This is a must have for Transformers fans and for anyone who enjoys a great action movie.

This used DvD arrived to me in a timely fashion and in the condition promised. I am a recent fan of Transformers and can I tell you I was not disappointed by this one. Usually by this time in an epic series the movies are getting redunant and even a bit lame but not Transformers!! I was absolutely on the edge of my seat and into the movie ~ laughing at parts, upset at parts, ecouraging and cheerleading in the fight scenes!! It is the PERFECT blend of action and drama and the touch of romance with the behind the plot story of Sam and Carly ... If you have enjoyed Transformers and Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen you WILL WITHOUT DOUBT enjoy Transformers Dark of the Moon! 5 STARS and 2 THUMBS UP with a HEAD BOB!! ha ha ha

This is a good family film . The special effects are great , as well as the actors seem to be working well with each other . It will leave you waiting to see the next transformer movie . I gave it a 4 and a half stars . I recommend this movie for all ages .

This is a great movie! Fast-paced and thrilling! Dark of the Moon boasts tremendous visual effects and larger than life action. The movie is close to two and a half hours long, but it doesn't feel that long because the movie is so excting. The Transformers themselves look great. The Autobots and the Decpticons realy look like they are there and the transformations are all brilliantly executed.
