"The Ultimate Bee Gees" is a two-disc 50th anniversary compilation of hits by the disco band known as the Bee Gees. In total, "The Ultimate Bee Gees" features 41 tracks spread across two discs. The first disc is 78 minutes and 48 seconds long and includes disco favorites "Stayin' Alive" and "Jive Talkin'," while the second disc features tracks such as "To Love Somebody," "I've Gotta Get a Message to You," and a hidden bonus track, with a play time of 68 minutes. "The Ultimate Bee Gees" is more or less split into themes with the first disc being much more upbeat and the second disc slightly mellower. The Bee Gees consists of vocalists and guitarists Robin Gibb and Barry Gibb, as well as multi-instrumentalist Maurice Gibb. Colin Petersen played as the band's drummer for their first five albums, Vince Melouney served as lead guitarist for the first three albums, and Blue Weaver performed as the Bee Gees' keyboardist for a short amount of time. "The Ultimate Bee Gees" collection peaked at number four on the Top Pop Catalog.

Great CD, nice compilation.

) Wanted to have yet another compilation of BeeGees that would be different from the 1979 "The Best of BeeGees". If you know who BeeGees are/were, you already know a lot, so no need to tell more about the group. Glad bought this album, because it has songs from almost all albums, though, criteria for picking the best was rather vague, I guess, it is a matter of individual taste, but overall this was a nice addition to my small collection of music.
Pros - all hit songs are included, older songs actually remastered quite well, bringing them up to the CD quality. Two-CD set is the only medium to go, really, how else would you cover many years of music.
Cons - not sure why some songs were replaced with their live versions, maybe master records were destroyed/lost? Also, some songs that are deemed the best were not really, they were simply the best hits, but music-wise BeeGees had other songs that were, IMHO, much better.
Do buy this compilation. You'll like it.

After listening to the CDs, I realized how much I love the Bee Gees. It a wonderful collection of my favorite songs. I would encourage anyone that likes the Bee Gees' music to buy this collection. Its Great!!!

Loved the packaging, songs were good quality. I was very pleased with my purchase.
My husband likes the Bee Gees, we listen to them on you tube all the time. So I thought that would be a good gift for him for Christmas. Can't wait to see his face when he opens the package.
