| The Uniden CEZ260 is a corded big button phone with 20 dB audio boost for the hearing or visually impaired. The viewing angle of the large LCD display can also be adjusted to maximize visibility. A speakerphone with mute adds hands-free operation to this Uniden corded phone. The Uniden CEZ260 stores 60 caller IDs, three one-touch speed dial numbers, and 10 phonebook entries. Four AA alkaline batteries provide backup for the memory. The phone can be wall mounted, and because it is powered by the telephone service, it continues to function during power outages. This Uniden corded phone supports caller ID and call waiting, and it has a timer function to monitor the duration of calls. The volume can be set to one of four levels on this big button phone and the ringer can be set to high, low, or off. This Uniden corded phone is Energy Star rated. Weighing 3 lbs, this phone measures 9 inches wide by 9 inches deep by 4 inches high. | |

) I'm tired of not finding any of the cordless units when the phone is ringing. Educating the family members to put it back at the base was not working. I decided to buy this unit and give it a shoot. I must say it did not disappoint me.
Other reviewers complained about the speaker not being loud enough. I installed it in the kitchen and does a good enough job if I'm standing up to 5ft away or so. This is definitely not a good solution if you need an office phone to do teleconferencing with. The fact that its battery operated tells you that it will not amplify a lot of audio (unless you want to be replacing batteries monthly). Anyway, it does the its assigned job beautifully. Now I can find a phone whenever its ringing.
Pros: Large display easy to read from distance (even though its not lit), large buttons, loud enough.
Cons: Battery operated (I'll eventually have to replace them).
If you want it for an office teleconference, spend a realistic amount of money and buy a Polycom or something similar.

I bought it because I was badly in need of a home phone.
I like the large number display buttons.
I liked the price.
I did not like how short the cords are.
Eventhought I think the cords are too short, yes I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend. I am satisfied with what I got for what I paid.

) was what i wanted, cell tower down, no eletric for days for phone that requires power, this phone just plugs in and works with out cell towers or eletric. phone works like new thanks
