The U.S. Mint started producing this 1 ounce 99.9% fine silver coin in 1986 and it is definitely the most popular silver bullion American coin. Whether an investor or someone like me, gathering either historical coins or coins minted in a personal or family significant year, the American Silver Eagle is a must have coin. Each year it is produced in both Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated versions. The Proof offers bright mirror finishes and make for stunning displays. The obverse features a walking liberty with the sun at her feet, with the word "Liberty" stretching around the border from one side to the other, with a smaller "In God We trust" to her lower right, and the year at the bottom. The reverse has 13 stars, representing the original colonies, above the Great Seal, and then around the border "United States of America" and "1 Oz. Fine Silver - One Dollar." The U.S. Mint original package includes the .999 fine silver proof dollar in an acrylic holder, the display case, a protective box and a COA (Certificate of Authenticity). Each year the American Silver Eagle is, quite simply, a stunning investment coin.

) In general, The US Silver Dollar Eagle is the most popular, and most sought after coin around. Everyone should have a few of these coins in their portfolio/collection, not only for its value, but for its beauty to admire.

Silver is a great precious metal to own or collect,demand for silver has been growing faster than the annual production since 1990, I buy all type's of silver coins & bullion even the sterling sillver is part of my collection, with the obamma inflation of tax payer money, silver is one of the best investments to have today !!! Silver the poor mans Gold, lol

AMERICAN SILVER DOLLARS!!!!! A GREAT investment and also a great item. They are 1 ounce of .999 pure silver. Silver is a precious metal that is going to keep going up as the economy falters.
