WWE: The Very Best of WCW Monday Nitro (DVD, 2011, 3-Disc Set)

This is a great dvd set the very best of wcw monday nitro relieve all the classic moments like macho man and hogan vs flair and anderson, the debuts of hall and nash, the nwos controversial four horsemen parody, goldberg vs hogan and wcw nitro last match sting vs flair

When VKM and his set of writers were struggling, WCW was rolling big-time!

Great matches, rivalries, promo's, and THE NITRO GIRLS!

I loved it when Bischoff announced the entire card results for RAW one night and yes, telling everyone that Mankind was about to win the title made everyone tune in but as soon as that was over, they turned back to WCW!

In the end though, Turner had no idea what he had gotten himself into so WCW began to fade into massive debt and egos but that would've happened anyway...

So I'm torn; I'm glad VKM bought Turner's 'wrasslin company but I'm not glad that VKM now owns basically everything from the former WWWF, WWF, WWE, AWA, NWA, and UWA; clips, histories, and titles and I have not liked what he's done with much of it but it's all his to do what he likes...including this release!?!?!

Still, I'm honoring what these guys did while they ran the show because they did a great job!

and guess who's "next"?...Goldberg is coming back...but where?...

Wow m.n.n was a great time for wrestling fans,while wwe was brewing up the next generation of iconic superstars wcw wad putting a show on for the fading superstars such as hogan Nash sting and many more...best of nitro revisits wcw s golden days and perhaps the biggest birth in wrestling since hogan, the almighty Goldberg.sit backhand and take ride back when wow beat out wwe raw

When this DVD was released, I was excited and hoping to relive all of my favorite WCW moments because they were usually on Monday Nitro rather than pay-per-view. Sadly, it seems that WWE deliberately left out ALL of the best matches and moments of Nitro's six year past because they're afraid to be outdone by the competition, even when it's already dead and buried. Furthermore, this DVD is more "The Story of WCW/NWO" than the best of Monday Nitro.
On the good side, however, there are roughly six or seven matches on each disc and about 35% of them are actually really good.

I bought this dvd set because I'm a big wrestling fan and I really liked WCW when it was around. There is really nothing that I disliked about the set, no complaints here. This 1st volume is definitely better than volume 2, they just had better moments in this set/volume 1. The set is packed with classic matches and segments that showcase all of the great WCW wrestlers, it's very entertaining. Compared to other wwe dvds this one is up there right at the top, I highly recommend this dvd set to all the big/hardcore wrestling fans out there, you wont be dissapointed. Thanks get_importcds you always have the good stuff.
