A long-favorite western classic is now on DVD!
Back during the 1950s, when television was still within its infancy, and presented in original black-and-white, perhaps no other form of programming was as more enjoyable or entertaining than that of the Western series. These fabled stories of the continuing escapades of lawman, pioneer and native american on the Western frontier was always a very intriguing means of escape. No other television genre was more popular than this type of format. Hollywood superstar Steve McQueen, the 'King Of Cool', launched his legendary career in the groundbreaking series "Wanted: Dead Or Alive". Not your typical rough-and-tumble bounty hunter of the Old West, Josh Randall (McQueen) was a consummate gentleman who always gave half-or even all-of his reward money to charity. A man of few words, Randall let his "mare's leg", a sawed-off Winchester rifle, do most of his talking as he took on criminals, protected people in need and battled rival bounty hunters in each exciting, pulse-ponding episode. Now, this legendary show is available for the very first time on DVD. All 94 episodes from all 3 complete seasons are collected here together in an 11-disc set. The series also featured many well-known guest stars including Michael Landon, Warren Oates, James Coburn, DeForest Kelley, Clu Gulager, Lee Van Cleef, Martin Landau, Lon Chaney Jr., Dyan Cannon and Mary Tyler Moore. In addition to all of these classic shows, this DVD set also includes five featurettes: "The Art Of The Replica", "The Mare's Leg", "Reckless", "Winchester: A Weapon Of Legend" and "The Women Of Wanted: Dead Or Alive". The series made McQueen the first television star to cross over "to comparable status on the big screen". There have been many other popular Western shows such as "The Rifleman", "Gunsmoke", "Bonanza", "The Big Valley", "The Virginian", "Wagon Train" and "The Lone Ranger". But, it is the classic series "Wanted: Dead Or Alive" that still stands brilliantly on its own.

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE
AS MUCH AS I LOVE WANTED-THINKING DVD DESERVES THE REVIEW! THIS BIG COMPANY REFUNDED MY MONEY ON A LOST ITEM WHEN THEY WERE NOT FORCED TOO. SIMPLY THE BEST- THR BEST THERE IS,THE BEST THERE WAS AND THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE. IF YOU NEED TO BUY SOMETHING MAKE SURE THEY DON'T HAVE IT FIRST-THEY FLAT OUT TAKE CARE OF THERE PEOPLE!....BTW WANTED IS THE BEST TV WESTERN SINCE CHEYENNE AND I HAVE SEEN ABOUT 95% OF THEM-MCQUEEN IS A STUD,HIS GUN IS UNFORGETABLE,HE SWEATS WHEN HE GETS IN A FAST DRAW(LIKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US WOULD DO)BUT MOST YOU SEE(MATT DILLON)ACTS LIKE THERE IS NOTHING TO IT. HE IS A BOUNTY HUNTER WITH INTEGRITY,WIT AND MAKES THIS PHRASE FAMOUS "LES GO" ALMOST EVERY EPISODE HE SAYS IT AND EVERY TIME IT GETS BETTER. HE IS A SMALL GUY AND CAN'T KICK EVERYBODY'S TUSH(JIM WEST). HE IS THE KING OF COOL! THAT SAYS IT ALL! BY FAR THE BEST FINANCIAL DEAL ANYWHERE ON EBAY-FROM THE PRICE EVERYONE THAT WACTHES WESTERNS SHOULD HAVE THIS. THE ENTIRE SERIES IS AS MUCH AS 10 EPISODES OF GUNSMOKE ETC. GET IT AND GET IT FROM THINKIN DVD!

The King of cool
Over 50 years ago, Steve McQueen star began to shine brightly in a well written western series that included an A list of character actors.
The cool headed Josh Randall can see the good in the bad and the evil in the good in all 94 episodes.
He's not just a gun for hire and often when he takes his man in, he gives the monetary reward to a child or family in need.
Of course, as good as Steve is he has a great cast of characters supporting him. Michael Landon, Warren Oates, Ralph Meeker, Clu Gulager, James Coburn, Lee Van Cleef, Martin Landau, Lon Chaney Jr, Mary Tyler Moore, Deforest Kelley and many more character actors give reasons why this collection is a MUST HAVE for the western afficionado and Steve McQueen fan.

IF YOU LIKE JOSH RANDALL, THIS IS A GREAT PURCHASE FOR THE PRICE.
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY FATHER WHO IS A HUGE FAN OF WESTERNS. THE PICTURE AND SOUND QUALITY ARE GOOD. IT'S ALMOST LIKE WATCHING THEM ON TV ALL THOSE YEARS AGO, WITHOUT THE COMMERCIALS. HE HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE WITH A COUPLE OF THE DISCS THE FIRST TIME HE PLAYED THEM, BUT HE SAID THEY STRAIGHTENED OUT WHEN HE PLAYED THEM A SECOND TIME. OVERALL HE WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE.
NOT AT ALL LIKE SOME I PURCHASED AWHILE BACK, OF A COLLECTION OF OLD MOVIES. THEY WERE WORSE THAN WATCHING AN OLD JAPANESE MOVIE WHERE THE WORDS ARE SLIGHTLY OUT OF SYNC WITH THE LIPS. THOSE DISCS WERE SO BAD THAT THE DIALOG WOULD COME IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SCENE. I QUICKLY RETURNED THEM.
IF YOU'RE A FAN OF JOSH RANDALL, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

Brings back the good old TV times I remember as a kid.
Some stare included in some episodes include Michael Landon, James Coburn, Ralf Meeker, DeForest Kelly, Mary Tyler Moore and lots more.
No regrets. Even has special features.
