i used to use another brand M a X ??? but they wouldnt honor their warranty so i went with western digital and they have never let me down,i have some that are ten years old and still work great, one has been formatted at least 34 times that i know of, still works very well.

Well, the drive is a replacement of my WD caviar green 1.5tb that died a couple of months ago. It's faster than the caviar green, but not as fast as a SSD. 1TB its a lot of space. Sata 6Gb's it's a good pro. I like everything of this caviar black including the 5-year warranty, but the only thing that I dislike is the noise that is does, maybe not a con, but if you're in a silent room, you may hear the noise. It gave me a 5.9 windows experience (the caviar green too), hoping to get more than 6.0. Boots and loads fast than I expected. The caviar black never gets hot, it's always at a cool temp. Hope this review convinced you to get one like me!

I only had 80 GB of hard drive on my computer and was quickly running out of space, this offers all the space I need and was worked with my tower. Thank you, Theresa
